Me and my mom got into an ugly verbal fight and the only way at the time I knew how to vent, was through my music . This song never made it on to what would finally be my debut album “Why Wait” but I felt the emotions through the writing process and actual recording of this one . It hurt . It really did . Me and moms are more than good now but this song was so personal for so many reasons . Just listen . It was never mixed considering it hit the cutting board of many other records I felt didn’t hit the mark of what I was trying to illustrate . 5:00 AM . That’s when I woke up just to get back into grind mode and continue finishing this EP for y’all . I don’t take this lightly . Not even a little bit . Cause I remember when I didn’t have none of the things I have now to craft my music and grow with it . I love it . I love how I still get chills hearing my voice on a record . I love the calming factor of it all . And most importantly, I love how music leaves me feeling full . Warm . Jubilant . I can go on and on about how music is so carved into my DNA but I think y’all understand . This EP is literally breathing a life of its own and I’m just full of life watching it all come together .
