TIMERUST ISLAND

     “Ah, I’m sorry to hear your friend moved away. Things that remind you of a friend can be difficult to do again. Or I would imagine so,” he said with a soft shrug. “But do you know where she moved to? Maybe you can visit her?” He understood missing friends all too well. Though rather than moving away, his friends were dead. He still missed them every day. Never forgotten.

    “A clinic? That’s good to have here. What else does this place have?” he asked. “I notice there’s a lot of flowers that are well kept. Ripple seems very protective of those…”

“It’s um... complicated. We still talk and all but coordinating something is... hard. Besides, I dunno where my Ankha in particular lives.” Lucky looks at his little paws. For a little dude, he sure has a lot on his shoulders.

“But yeah, Ripley really worked hard on those flowers so I guess that’s why he’s super protective. I um, The flowers. When there weren’t any blue roses I swear that I didn’t really see him at all... For months or years even. But just a few days as I was feeling this, I um... saw him... watering blue roses all of a sudden.”

“He looked genuinely happy at that moment...”

      “So Ripple was the only human you’ve met before me? Then this world is mainly of animals,” he muttered, more to himself than the canine. “Well, just so you know, many worlds dominate species are humans. It’s actually quite rare when I find other worlds that it’s something else…”

     Shigaraki tilted his head to the side and tapped his chin with a finger, “But then again, last time I checked, dogs don’t walk and talk and wear clothes. You could still be a dog, but just, different sub species that can do such things?” the villain suggested.

       “Ah, I’m sorry you had to go through that kind of stuff,” the man said with a dip of his head. “Me and the sun don’t get along either. I have very pale skin and sun burn easily. I usually wear sun block before I leave any place for a long amount of time. Of just wear a hoodie and block out the sun with clothes.” He knew the feeling of being weak to the sun. But he didn’t know the feeling of not being able to directly touch things.

     “Mummy… goth? Is that like.. a clothing style or something?”

“I guess it is. I’d just dress up like a goth but with like... mummy elements. Ankha really helped out with it but I don’t... live with her anymore... I guess. Didn’t... feel like doing it anymore after that. ” Lucky dozed off a bit. “I miss her.”

“Alright, apparently this place is pretty nice to some people so I’m kinda making a decision here.”

      “So this place has humans and varieties of animals. Interesting. And you all live peacefully, huh? No war… No crime, nothin’ huh?” What a life, Toga would die to come here and relax and play. He’d have to show her this island some time if he ever came back.

     “Well he could be sick maybe. Or just busy with something. Sometimes I don’t see my friends in a long time and we live close to each other…”

       “Also… I have a question, and I hope it isn’t rude. But why all the bandages? You look like a mummy…”

“I wouldn’t say humans per say but human as in singular. Actually, now that I think about it, Ripple was the only human I saw here till I met you today.” Lucky seemed deep in contemplation about this. He wasn’t really... well, sure of anything in his perspective. It was hard to really remember anything at all actually, but that was just him. “I’m uh... not sure if I’m a dog even. Dogs don’t sweat if I recall and I um...”

“I sweat a lot under these things.”

      “Ten? So this island must not be super huge.. I haven’t really gotten time to explore. Well with so little of you guys here, I can imagine it’s sometimes hard to find another person,” Shigaraki replied, setting the mug down and scratched at his neck.

      “So there’s a clown here? Joy… as long as he doesn’t bother me then he’ll live.” Shigaraki wasn’t even watching his words and what he just said, threatening a life. But at the same time, he didn’t really care.

      “Mac? Who’s that? What is he?”

“Uh, he’s a dog jock?” He said, scratching the side of his cheek. “He’s really nice and likes pools. He wants to be a boxer I think. He’s been here since the island was deserted.” 

     Shigaraki looked at the canine for a moment. He… didn’t know how long he’s been here? “I bit,” he admitted and took another sip. “Usually most people know how long they’ve been living some where. But you seem uncertain on that it’s just a week or two even.”

     “What about the other animals I’ve seen here, are they in the same boat of not knowing too? What are the other villagers here? I know there’s you, and that pink octopus… You two are the only ones I have seen.”

“Oh, Marina? I know her. There’s at least ten of us though. Island isn’t too awfully big but sometimes it’s hard to find someone for some reason.” Lucky pressed his paws together with a hum. “But there are others I think. Pietro is a weird clown man. Kinda suspicious when I think about it, but you know. That’s neither here nor there.”

      The drink tasted kind of like chocolate milk. Interesting. Good thing he does enjoy that beverage. After taking a sip, he settles the mug in his lap.

      “Huh, interesting… Though I suppose this Tom Nook let’s Ripple manage the island and do as he wishes then, huh?” It sounded odd to him, more like Ripple being the one in charge.

     “Yeah it seems so… How long have you been on this island, Lucky?” he asked, growing curious of the mummy. “And are there more islands out there? More than just this one?” Were they too ran by humans?

The pup looked around sheepishly, fiddling with his paws. “I uh- Maybe a week or two maybe. Uh... mmm...” Strangely enough, he didn’t really feel like he really knew how long he’s been here. It’s felt like months or years even, but he just remembers moving in just recently.

      “Scratch what I said.. if YOU want to live, you will give me back my Switch.”

       “Gimme back my Switch… I need it to live…”

       “Yeah, I suppose you could say that. Ripple seems nice so far, but I feel like he’s suspicious of me,” Shigaraki admitted. “Oh, you made cupcakes with a microwave? That’s neat. How’d they come out?” He’s heard of using an oven, but a microwave? That was different. But then again, he was in another world.

      “A little burnt doesn’t do any harm,” he replied and took a seat next to the pup finally. “Tom Nook? Who’s that?” Guessing another person in charge of the island…. When the mug was offered, Shigaraki carefully took it in his hands. “Huh, I’ve never had something like this before…” He took a cautious sip.

The kombucha just tasted like any other chocolate drink. Honestly, it can be swapped out with chocolate milk and you can’t tell the difference.

“Yeah, Rips.” The pup puts his paws to the side.

“Tom Nook really owns the place, but lets Ripple do whatever to his land, which when I think about it doesn’t really make any sense. He gives us all dept and does all the paperwork of things but you also sell things to him and he gives you his money and it goes straight back to his wallet. Also, there also seems to be lots of him.”

     Shigaraki had to admit, the little mummy pup was quite cute. And they seemed quite friendly already. He hoped he didn’t wake him up or anything. The mummy seemed as if he was snoozing under the tree. Shigaraki decided to place away the net and drew closer to the other.

     “Ah, I’m Shigaraki Tomura,” he answered, giving a bow. “I come from a far a way place. I came here to get away from issues at home. I did meet the person in charge, quite an interesting fellow.” Or well, he assumed Ripple was in charge.

“Oh cool! So you’re like Ripple?” Lucky exclaimed, wagging his tail a little. He’s such a happy little puppy. “Well, Ripple is kinda weird but he’s nice. He gave me a microwave! I made cupcakes with it.”

“They were a little burnt. Rrr-owch!” Lucky rubs the back of his head. He sits up from the tree a little. “I guess he’s kinda in charge? Tom Nook seems to just have him do whatever.” The pup adjusts his mug a little and raises it up to Shigaraki. It’s a normal-sized cup but it’s in such little hands.
