It was supposed to be a prologue of sorts, I was still experimenting with the style of the whole thing, but ultimately dropped the idea after some time, though it did help me figure out what I wanted to do with the story.

I thought it'd be fun to share some of the first concepts I had for Time of Decay back in 2023 when the idea was still forming!

At the beginning the story was practically all different - even the main characters were supposed to be someone else. First I came up with Cassiopeia aka Cass, she was supposed to be the main lead of the story. It was only after a small side-story comic with Blaise and Ambrosia that I thought Blaise would be a far better protagonist for the story I wanted to tell, although Cass is still there and she will eventually make an appearance!

I've even started working on some very early pages with the old storyline before I've decided to switch everything up, I might post them sometime in the future!

Here's the first ever cover for the comic from December 2023, a lot has changed since then, but it's a lot of fun to look back at how the project evolved throughout all these months and I hope it will continue to grow <3
