A failed ambush in infrared.

While different than what I typically post, I thought I'd share. Sometimes I throw planning out the window and draw very flat dragons in pen as a way to wind down. I was watching a tv show about freshwater fish when I did this one.

I'm still around! Just been busy with school and moving. That being said, here's another little 10"x10"acrylic finger painting. Scientific accuracy was not the goal here.

I started doing 10"x10"acrylic finger paintings as a way to practice being less of a perfectionist about my space art. The painting here is my second one, in which a planetary body passes in front of a blue star.

I've learned a lot from amateur astrophotographers and astronomers in my attempts at (fantastical) accuracy. My goal is to bring the vastness and smallness of things into a single image because it's meaningful to me in a way that's hard to explain. Anyway, I'm glad that I can give a little back.

I've recently gone back to community college for a fresh degree in accounting. Needless to say, my life has been hectic, but I'll try to post more often now that I'm settled in.
