She looked at the man, who she was inclined to refer to as her savior for getting her off that stage, and was smacked in the face with the most gorgeous man she'd ever seen. Red hair tied up off his neck, russet eyes with some scarring over the left, and the type of sun-kissed skin that begged for other kinds of kisses. Ohhhhhh my god, he's not wearing a shirt. She noted through the rising heat threatening to cook her brain stupid. Perhaps it already had. It shouldn't have been unusual for a beachfront, but on him it felt terribly unfair. Was it even legal to be so effortlessly beautiful? He cleared his throat, and she realized with no small measure of horror that she had been staring right at this stranger's chest without saying a word. She was going to walk into the damn ocean—

Eris Vanserra was going to be High King of Prythian. He would accept no alternative. And his brothers, the few that were left, would stay out of his way or die. He'd known this before he arrived to see his father on his deathbed. And sending Elias sailing from the window had not shaken his resolve for a moment. This though… this quest to find the stone. That had certainly come as a surprise to him. It did not shake him. It simply… irked him. But it would end the same. Even if the other two didn’t know it yet. This would all end with Eris on the throne. Whether he would be alone or have his last two siblings fallen at it’s feet was entirely up to them.

Honestly? I think I may have to give this one to Lucien. I love my girl, but Lucien has centuries of experience and library time on her as well as more actual interest in learning booksmart things. Elain (to me) seems largely interested in more tactile hobbies. Gardening, cooking, baking etc. Whereas Lucien has been noted on a few occausions to be reading in his free time.
