It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas Hello family! I'm so excited to announce that I have Christmas cards available for sale. There are four designs to choose from (pictured below top to bottom A, B, C or D).

  Adventures In Lettering Lately I have been inspired to letter.  I think I've started following 4 or 5 lettering Instagram users.  I love it!

In 2 Kings 5, Naaman the "commander of the army of the king of Syria (v 1)" goes to the Prophet Elisha to be cured of leprosy. When Elisha did not cure him in the way he had hoped or expected him to, Naaman became angry: "But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the leper 2 Kings 5:11 (AMP)." More often than not, we will pray and ask God for an answer to a question or solution for a problem and He will Gove us the answer but because it's not what we wanted to hear we write it off and disregard His instruction. Then as the situation progresses and worsens we dare say God is not speaking to us. We say we've prayed to Him but He isn't hearing us when in actuality the answer was released as soon as we first approached God. We have to understand that we aren't always going to like God's response but we also have realize that He sees all and He knows all and His answers/responses/resolutions are all for our good. I want to encourage you to refrain from ignoring God. If you take the time to listen to His voice, first, know that He will answer. Finally, take the time to obey His voice--regardless of what He's saying. Jeremiah 29:11 AMP For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

In spiritual agriculture we plant a seed of faith when we believe a thing to be true. The planted seed is then watered by our prayers and actions that demonstrate our commitment to the thing that we do not yet see. Just as the transformation from seed to plant begins under the surface where no one can see what is taking place, so too does the growth and development of our spiritual seed take place in the depth of the invisible spiritual realm. In the natural, when we plant a seed we put it in the ground with full expectation that it will grow. We need to learn to do the same thing with our spiritual seeds. We have to trust that what we plant will grow. When we believe otherwise, it's like planting a seed in dirt and then digging it back up because we are not sure it will grow. A seed in the hand is not the same as a seed in the ground. It will never develop into anything. Similarly, our spiritually seed will definitely not grow if we keep digging it up with doubt. Plant the seed, trust the process and wait patiently for your harvest to grow.

Most often people will say, "I don't know God's will for my life". However, this scripture--and several scriptures like it--clearly express God's will for our lives. In this particular verse we see that part of His will for us is that we give thanks in all circumstances. There are several reasons why God would want thanksgiving to be a part of His will for our lives beginning with the fact that staying in a constant attitude of thanksgiving keeps us out of a negative head space where we are unappreciative. Furthermore, we have to remember that God is on control of everything. He's manufactured and orchestrated every area of our lives therefore we should be thankful into God that He's brought us to and will lead us out of any circumstance that is painful or uncomfortable.
