A Thylacine's Toybox 🌈

I am an adult, but this blog will be entirely SFW. Anyone can enjoy the toys I post, but please, if your blog is heavily NSFW, I ask that you just look and don’t reblog/comment!

I mainly own plushies, but also some figures and wooden animals. You’ll see a lot of thylacines, other marsupials, dragons, and dinosaurs here, as well as Pokemon such as my all-time fave Rattata!

My main interests are zoology, palaeontology, and nature in general. While I may have a… slight mammal bias in my collection, I can appreciate every type of animal! (I’ll tag snails, slugs, insects, and any invertebrates that seem bug-like with ‘bugs’ if you want to avoid)

Aside from toys, I also collect cool rocks, and animal bones and dead things - but don’t worry, it’s all about toys here (any bone appearances will also be appropriately tagged!)

Creatures were not allowed in the kitchen, so Pralieon patiently waited outside and watched as we made our own chocolate bars. I made a huge mess of mine, it was delicious. I also consumed a raw cacao nib, which was not as good.

We sampled lots of chocolate too! Tons of different flavours to try, from cinnamon toast to lemon meringue to pine needle, but also some made from beans grown in different countries which affected the taste a lot.

Pralieon began to wonder about the origin of their own beans. Don't think too hard about that, Prali!

Finally, Pralieon took a gigantic chomp for the road.

I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to remove the mould spots, but to my surprise the mould-removing spray that we have (for use in bathrooms and such) did the job perfectly! Literally you can't even see that any mould was ever there. I took a risk using it on fabric, but decided I was willing to deal with possible discolouration, bleaching, or slight damage to the fabric as long as the mould was gone. Luckily it didn't do any of that!

If you want to try something like this, make sure you are also okay with the risk and test it on an inconspicuous spot first! You never know what these kinds of harsh cleaners will do to fabric, especially when it's not the recommended use. Be sensible about wearing rubber gloves too!

After that I made sure to give them a very thorough rinse, and then a regular wash in the washing machine, which I think Bath Bomb really enjoyed. I think this is good enrichment for a Vaporeon. It makes me think of the Vaporeon ability to melt into a puddle.

Then a good air dry on the washing line! Very thoroughly this time!

Originally had a felt tongue, doesn't look so bad from this angle at least...

...But it's got a really weird kissy mouth hole lmao. Why'd they overcomplicate it! I just made a whole new tongue, sewed the mouth closed around it, and embroidered a smiley new mouth. I also reduced its big forehead a bit while I was at it.
