I write primarily with friends but I am open to finding more partners to write with! I favor character chemistry and plot driven threads.

while delusions were a man - made creation, as frostwind knight retrieved the broken scrap of the relic from the scene of the crime, he couldn’t help but feel the faint traces of abyssal energy. he could feel it resonating with his own, this almost parasitic desire to feed of ambition. the greatest of manipulations ; the ability to turn something good into something horrid, until it drained the user of all life force. they were fascinating little gadgets, perhaps less horrifying to kaeya that his own visions, but to voice this aloud might earn him some rather curious and contemptuous expressions from the general public, especially those with an already dubious opinion on him.

the new windswept knight didn’t seem to carry such thoughts, or at least hadn’t shown any bias one way or another during the few times previous they’d run into one another amidst hoarder encounters. that was refreshing at least, that the younger knights ( albeit unofficial ) seemed to have less of an issue when it came to the captains operational blueprint. “ when you encountered these hoarders, what were they doing ? do you believe they’ve already circulated some of the delusions ? ” he turned the broken case over in his hand, noting the fragility of it in comparison to his vision, one kaeya had tried to destroy many many times. “ if so, we must do our best to prevent the most disastrous of outcomes. ” he’d seen first hand what delusions could do.

     Her eyes take in the now-abandoned cavern more than her previous visit — It could have been considered more of a pitstop, now that she thinks on it. She and her team’s prior dealings with this location had less to do with observation, more to do with thwarting the threat its occupants held against themselves and the people of Mondstadt. It’s dark, like many domains the newly appointed Knight had charged through in days passed, only it feels all the more sinister due to its intended use. She remembers quite literally falling into the place, seeing the presence of Treasure Hoarders and Fatui agents . . .

          ‘ They were all huddled close together, talking with the people in masks. Fatui agents. ‘ Ruby chooses her words carefully, chewing on the inside of her cheek as she scans the area. Emptied and broken crates and scattered debris litter the dirt flooring of the cavern, accented here and there by the shells of Delusions which had been dropped during the fray. Footprints are scattered throughout the place, a mishmash of friends and foes tracks, making it difficult to accurately follow the trail of those who’d escaped the adventuring party’s capture. ‘ It sounded like they were doing some kind of transaction. ‘

     Despite her good fortune in discovering such a scandal right beneath her feet, Ruby still feels frustration nipping at her heels, and it shows easily in her knitted brow, her rigid posture. ‘ They seemed familiar with each other. I have a bad feeling they’ve done something like this before. ‘

HMMMM HM HM HMMMMMM!!!

In Genpact verse, Ruby is a high energy adventurer with the Adventurer’s Guild fulfilling her dream of helping people, battling against the monsters of Teyvat to keep the populace safe while also traveling to whatever amazing places she can find. Much like Amber, her life goals and ideals were heavily inspired by the storybooks she read as a kid, and as she got older Ruby realized that she didn’t just have to read those stories — she could create her own.

She’s an Anemo vision user from Mondstadt who is rather, well — adventurous, as the title aptly suggests! The kind of kid people always saw outside getting into whatever she could reach. Not only is she an active member of the Adventurer’s Guild, she’s also a blacksmith’s apprentice under Wagner at Mondstadt’s forge.

Through investigation during a commission to look for alleged Treasure Hoarder camps, Ruby and her adventuring team stumble into the middle of a Fatui smuggling plot that they can’t ignore or wait for backup to foil, and as a result of her unforeseen success in the endeavor Ruby is now in the spotlight of the Knights of Favonius. While not a fulltime knight, Ruby does hold some affiliation with the Knights and becomes a reconnaissance and quick response fighter thanks to her proficiency with speed, observation and offensive fighting. Ruby gives her position the title of Wind Sprinter, and is aptly referred to as the Windswept Knight by fellow Mondstadters.

𝐫𝐮𝐛𝐲  𝐰𝐚𝐬  𝐨𝐧𝐞  𝐨𝐟  𝐭𝐡𝐞  𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭  𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝  𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥  𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐬.  aerith  was  grateful  for  every  encounter,  though  they  both  remained  quite  busy.  “  just  paying  my  favorite  meadow  a  visit.  there’s  always  a  bunch  of  new  flowers  !  guess  it’s  kinda  nice  to  just  get  away  from  mondstadt  for  a  bit.  clear  my  head  —  ”  a  pause  to  look  the  girl  over,  briefly.  “  all  done  with  your  assignments  today  ?  i  hope  you’ve  been  successful  ..  and  safe  !  ”  a  soft  reminder,  not  too  forced.  

“  flora  is  looking  for  a  playmate  soon  !  she  misses  talking  with  you.  ”  aerith  mentions,  smiling.  “  you  know  ..  i  think  it  might  be  in  our  best  interest  to  go  back  together  —  unless  you  have  a  few  other  assignments  ?  wouldn’t  wanna  keep  you.  ”  the  wind  blows  through  the  flower  merchant’s  hair,  white  bow  dancing  with  the  wind,  but  staying  so  neatly  in  place.  “  the  hilichurls  have  been  really  aggressive  lately,  did  you  notice  ?  must  be  something  in  the  air  today.  ”

          ‘ Sure have! Only a couple little bruises and scratches this time. ‘ Ruby answers the question easily, a grin spread across her face as she gives Aerith a triumphant thumbs up. The commissions she’d been assigned had been a handful, yes, but not to a degree Ruby couldn’t handle on her own with a bit of effort. She’s thankful for the opportunity to take a breath in the aftermath and walk back accompanied.

          ‘ Ah, does she? ‘ She sounds a tad sheepish as one hand reaches to cup the back of her neck. She chuckles lightly, a soft redness coloring her ears with embarrassment. ‘ Guess I have been really busy lately. Hopefully she’ll be at the city entrance by the time we get back! ‘

DING ! upper tiers drag against lower lip now curling into a SMIRK.    ❛     ——    wait if you’re a fully licensed huntress    ….   shouldn’t like be tryin` to turn me in or somethin`  ? an` what do you mean , “ i DoN’T dRiVe ?” NOPE. stealin` a car now. i wanna see this.   ❜

  ❝   have you eaten lunch yet,   ruby?  ❞   the warm sound of odet’s voice rings clear in the sparring stadium.  standing at the entrance to the rink,  she offers ruby a bright smile and a wave.  she had already noticed ruby was practicing when she initially entered,  but,  floaty,  she had drifted to and fro about the building on other business for a while before ultimately deciding to check in.  it had been a few days since they last saw each other.

approaching from a few feet away,   she says,   ❝   you haven’t taken a break from training in a while… i sometimes worry that you push yourself too hard.  ❞    her expression remains friendly, easygoing despite her voice of concern.     ❝   i have some snacks back in my office, if you’d like to accompany me.  ❞  

     The sparring stadium is empty, save for herself and a scattered array of practice targets, all of them illuminated at the edges by the dull glow of blue which permeates the building’s structure. Ruby’s breathing comes in shallow huffs as she begins to still in the middle of her routine. Her brow is slick with sweat, causing bits of hair to stick to her forehead and the sides of her face, giving her more of an unkempt look than what was typical.

     Despite her fatigue, Ruby smiles upon seeing the source of interruption. ‘ Doctor Celant, ‘ She answers breathily, surprised as she lowers the training staff in her hands. One of her hands eventually releases its grip, allowing the butt of her staff to fall to rest against the ground. Her body leans against it as Ruby catches her breath, opposite hand giving a casual and dismissive wave to Odet’s voiced concern, chuckling as best as she could with little air in her lungs. ‘ Me? Nah, this is — Well, pretty standard for me at this point. Can’t get to where I’m going if I get too comfortable! ‘

     “  If  you  saw  something  happening  ,  it’s  important  you  tell  me  .  We  don’t  want  anyone  getting  hurt  .  “
