i would like to share something from the lorde and savior herself about this topic

I just spent several hours researching potential Easter Eggs in ME! and I’ve come to several inconclusive conclusions…

1.  7 = 7th album. Let’s start off easy. In this scene, Taylor is surrounded by seven briefcases. 7, TS7, you got it dude. Not too shabby.

2. A hidden “TS”? If you edit the h*ck out of this screen capture, where her and Brendon are in their marching band uniforms, you can kinda see a design embroidered on Taylor’s hip.

This is very reminiscent of the font-type used during the reputation era. 

3. Look out the windows! NOW, the hallway scene she was telling us to really focus on. Well if you look out the window you will see some of these bad guys  🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴 🌴  

I’m sure we remember them from somewhere. 

Miss Taylor loves a good nod at our own theories, whether they are true or not. 

The palms can even be seen through the apartment window! Along with this cute cat painting.

4. Cats are ART

The painting, showing a black cat facing a door, can also be seen here in more detail, when Mr. Urie is peeping out the window. 

An additional painting with the same subject, a black cat facing the doorway, can be seen in her storming out scene. 

What in the world could this mean? Obviously, Taylor loves cats. And the number 13, which is often associated with bad luck. You know what else is associated with bad luck? BLACK CATS MY FRIENDS.

The actual painting itself, perhaps it is the work of some famous artist, a series where she paints cats facing doors? This seemed plausible until I did a Google deep-dive and was unable to locate results. Is the artist Taylor herself? We know how much she enjoys painting…

Maybe she had it commissioned? Sonuds like something our butterfly mural artist (I’m looking at you, Kelsey!) might intel on. 

5. Lovey-Dovey. LASTLY, we have her cute band members dressed up as cupids! How adorable. 

Cupid is the Ancient Greek God of Love. He is well known for shooting his magic arrows at two people so they fall in love. Interestingly, we have a neon sign titled “lovers” in an earlier scene. 

Is there a correlation? Will another song be centered around cupid and two lovers? Taylor did hide song titles in the …Ready For It? video, after all.
