I made a small comic

The international community is mentioned a few times, and both sides worry about the reputation of their countries. It appears as if the weasels may have been chastised after attacking in the first few episodes.

Commander Jogjebi does appear to be very concerned about looking good in front of the the reporters, claiming that the training soldiers are just for self defense and that he and his weasels have changed and no longer want to invade or have a war.

Plus, a few plans actually involve sneaking in and placing bombs, rather than an all out battle. If anything, the armies themselves aren’t really clashing all that much. It seems to be a lot of espionage and sabotage that the rest of the world does not pick up on for most of the show.

If anything, this international community is watching, but isn’t really willing to say anything unless the fighting gets serious and can no longer be hidden. What exactly they would do is not specified other than they would ‘turn their back’ on the country that caused the issue.

So I don’t think it’s considered a ‘hot’ war, if you will, but maybe kind of a bit of a Cold War going on. Even the wolves are more or less a single unit, and don’t necessarily represent a single country in universe (America though).

I would love to hear your ideas on it!

Otherwise, I have a few ideas about regions and powers that I have talked about before. It’s for my own AU, but I tried to base it on what we see in the show (especially that map we see, where it looks like the continents are the same. It’s an Asian map so Asia would be front and center and this blocked by the smaller screen) and how it compares with real life North Korean Relations as much as possible.

And here’s a discussion about the possibility of the Iron Curtain existing in sah. Especially since East Germany was one of the first countries to recognize North Korea.

I created a backstory for the animosity between Flower Hill and the weasels, but it’s kind of more or less something I made up myself and not based on much of anything in the show, although it could make sense in context.

There are times where we see destruction of residential areas (such as the first episodes of the first and second season), but these are honestly just acts of genocide.

I also believe the reason why what we see in the show is only espionage/sabotage work is because that’s just what the main characters do, so that’s what we follow.

I feel a some secret third option and the rest of the world in SAH’s universe either doesn’t want to be involved, or their involvement is very quiet.

We do see Flower Hill and the weasels hold festivals/events, and different species are most seen in those, so maybe it works with how North and South Korea (irl) have an armistice that was never signed, effectively making them still at a state of conflict while outsiders are still allowed to interact with them (?)

I made my own chart for my own personal interpretation/story (there are parts that I may update but I’m not sure for now)—And both war and outside forces are more touched upon.

In a way, I believe the conflict that takes place in SAH is a mix of many that Korea has been involved in or was directly impacted by—Most notably and obviously the Korean War, though there may be add in of the annexation of Korea by The Japanese Empire and WWII.

I wish the show touched more upon Flower Hills/N. Koreas allies than focusing on how many enemies they have. Especially with China, since they’re the country that back them up the most.

I also wish we could get more insight on the mice/S. Koreans, and why they are under the weasels rule and apart of their forces.
