so, personally, as in this is my minds invention and i dont expect anyone else to see it the way i do, i like to think magenta is from oklahoma (and ironically enough oklahoma was approved as the states name in 1890 when sbr takes place)

now with that, as in actual like origin headcanon or whatever we want to call it, magenta to me is half white (fathers side) half comanche (mothers side). i say this because im part comanche myself and lowkey all the rep i see in fiction is in the shitty western novels i read where theyre the wife and family murdering villains

theres more to the family dynamic ive created for him but im not going to get into that one because ill cover it more in mister mister in the next few chapters

now as for a name, i did as much research as i could in terms of creating a proper one (if i made a mistake and you know, please let me know) because let me tell you, those baby name sites are making up shit. and even then, theres not a lot of resources out there on comanche names (not ones that i was able to access anyways) and i live too far from lawton to actually be able to ask around.

here goes with the name--that he doesnt go by because hes magenta magenta obviously--but... Tuweekápui or Crow Eyes when you translate it. It’s a combination of /tuwikáa/ which means crow and can also be spelled as /tu wiikaa/. Then there's /pui/ means eye or eyes. Going in with the projection stuff, like i said, i was a bit inspired by my own name Happy Face (or Tsaa nʉ sukatu kobe if we go by nʉmʉ tekwapʉ̠). Though it was also just...man i really like magentas design and his eyes, looked at that guy and...wow...thats my buddy
