Our Rug Hookers have jumped right into spring, going which way and that, to Hook-Ins in Woodstock and Owen Sound, the Hockley Valley Rug Hooking retreat, the WeftFest Fibre Arts Festival in Waterloo , and then many are off straight away to the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild Annual Conference in Oakville this weekend. The rug hooking display at this event will be amazing.
Guild member, Anita Hebblewaite is highlighted here with her rug designed by Elaine Chalmers from the Cozy Nook in Neustadt, ON. 26 inch square and color planning inspired by her granddaughter's wedding and hooked during the 10 min Hooking Challenge with Deanne Fitzpatrick in 2025. While not the colors we think for spring, it sure hints of the transitions, from the brown flora to the colors starting to pop around us.

Quilted wall hanging of Mt. Fuji for my mom
Back to crocheting for me lately. I'm using up my cool-ish-toned yarns for a six-pointed star blanket. It's mostly greys, sage and leaf greens, and oat browns.
I've made one of these before, but I think this one turned out a lot more evenly!
