This pen holder has a story. About two years ago I visited St. Michael's School of Sacred Arts on Ender Island. To take a class with @masterpenman Harvest Crittenden. While there the caretakers were bringing a tree down. I took some of the wood hoping that I could get it turned into a pen holder. I reached out to @yokepencompany and Chris Yoke helped me out. It was going great until.....#pergamenata paper does not like wet size. So back to the drawing board. Also my lettering is so darn off. Not the kind of project one should start when demonstrating at the#ncmuseumofart. Although I loved talking gold, gesso, paper and gilding some kids with some gold scraps.
