Will Backrooms be linked at the hip with Obsession forever?
Not after Inde Navarrette (hopefully) wins that Oscar in the winter.
Backrooms is fine. Visually it’s very surreal. The performances from the leads are very solid. But, the big flaw here is that there’s not really a story being told. Merely the suggestion of one.
Well, Steven Spielberg has made another alien movie. And, this time it’s not about divorce!
Disclosure Day is really just about aliens and that’s it. And, it is an enjoyable experience but it is not great.
I really don’t think the vast majority of people right now would care if there was hard evidence of aliens. I don’t think it would mean that much to people. Especially with the known atrocities of the current world that many folks don’t really give a shit about.
Say what you will but when Frank made his old man, out of touch passion project; he tried something new and it DID mean something. This is just Steve wishing aliens were real.
Am I the only person that caught the line of dialogue clearly ADR’d by George Lucas?

Just listen to the bass playing on this….awesome is just to over used to do it just but it is that and more! One of my favourite things to do on long train journey’s is to listen to my Jazz collection. Sending this along just before we board the train, the Eurostar to be more precise, to Lille and places east in France. The Sunday Got Bass Vibes selection from the Flimwell Papers’ Music Corner….awesome playing by Charlie and crew….peace y'all!

Rarely do you see a movie, especially from the time, that truly depicts the paranoia of American post-war suburbia.
The horrors of the war have taken their toll in The House on Telegraph Hill (1951). Valentina Cortese is excellent in the lead as a holocaust survivor living under an assumed identity.
