“11 pounds is all it takes

To reach my goal

To be happy and awake

I feel so close

I feel so far

I don’t feel like myself

I don’t feel on par

How can it be

That I’m nearly there

Yet, I don’t feel confident

And I’m losing all my hair

You’re supposed to feel pretty

When you’re stripped down to nothing

But I only feel ashamed, weak and disgusting

_

I know that I’m close

That’s what terrifies me most

What if when I reach it

I can’t seem to keep it?

_

I want to be thin

Dainty and trim

I feel it; so close

The skinny within

_

Maybe when I get there

I’ll feel pretty, no matter what I wear

I’ll feel elegant; everyone will stare

I’ll feel beautiful in my underwear

_

But, what if I feel nothing?

What if pretty isn’t good enough

What if getting there is just too much

What if I’m not strong enough

Maybe 11 is just too tough

_

I’m battling myself

I’m trying to debate

Does skinny mean pretty,

Or a bigger headache?

Does thin mean beauty,

Or will it devaste?

Does dainty mean darling,

Or will it propagate?

My goals are so near,

So close, yet so far

Just within arm’s reach

I’m reaching from afar

_

One day I’ll get there

That day will be soon

With luck, I’ll be enough

I won’t need ‘more room’

My biggest concern

Is that I’ll only keep on going

Because enough isn’t enough

My ED will keep showing”

Feels weak after 10 minutes of exercise

but not for you

i want you to be healthy

to eat normally

not to starve

i want you to feel good with yourself

with your body

but I wanna starve
