if you’re not a sex worker, then there’s a few things you should know.
1. you can’t be pro sex worker and anti sex work. you can’t want to take away our means of surviving and then claim to care about us in the same breath.
2. decrim is what will work for us. literally arresting our clients for being clients does not, in any fucking way, help us. arresting us for working is in no way “saving us”.
3. when it comes to sex work, listen to sex workers. this’ll blow your mind, I’m sure, but sex workers know more about sex work than non-sex workers. surprise!
4. intra-community issues, such as lateral whorephobia, are NOT for you to stick your nose into. they are none of your goddamn business and you aren’t helping anyone. at all. don’t reblog those posts. don’t comment on them. period. idc how informed you think you are. none. of. your. business.
if you truly want to be an ally to sex workers, then shut up, listen, and educate yourself. by educate yourself, I don’t mean “ask non-sw what they think about sw”. at my resources page, I have kindly done half the work for you and put together many links so you learn some shit.
