in my mind shikatema have two pet cats (alongside all the deer ofc):

kamatari- Temaris fancy stray American curl cat, Temari took in when she found him w one of his eyes scratched out from a fight. She spoils the hell out of him and only gives him the best he can do no wrong

stray fatass- fat old cat that wanders Shikamaru’s neighborhood. He’s not technically Shikamaru’s but he comes by his place the most. When he gets hungry he goes to every house on the street and begs like he’s starving LOL Temari has tried to give him a name but it doesn’t work shikamaru just calls him “cat”

#Temari spoils kamatari and sweet talks him and kamatari fucking HATES shikamaru he’s always scratching his face and stealing Temaris lap #Shikamaru refuses to believe his cat is fat and continues feeding the greedy bastard. He’s mean but it’s all in a baby voice he loves him #Temari has tried naming it but shikamaru is too lazy to think of one so for a bit she called it Shikaku bc it weirded shikamaru out to hear #Her yell SHIKAKU STOP PISSING ON THE HOUSEPLANTS. She found it rlly funny bc she’s kind of a dork #It didn’t last tho #He’s the black and white spotted cat shikamaru is laying with in that one chapter cover lol
