Writing prompt: Once a vampire falls in love he/ she gives his/her heart to whoever is the lucky one. As he doesn’t have a heart anymore, he no longer can be killed. However, there is a catch to it: Once the keeper of his/her heart dies, his/her heart fill return to him/ her and killed him/ her from the inside out.

We grew up watching movies about this sort of thing, but we never expected it to happen to us.

And he wondered what atrocities she must have committed to have this reputation. To have a country all for herself.

They were all terrified of him not realizing that she was the one holding the leash.

Such a pity that you had to experience yourself how horrible the world is. The world will be unless we do something about it.

So I sprinted towards my death. I was running out of time.

“You’re a coward! You say there is no hope but there is hope. You just don’t want to admit it for admitting it means that you have the power to change your life. It means that you are the only one to blame for your situation. And you are afraid of the blood and tears that will be the cost of that change.”

Every cell in her body was telling her otherwise, telling her that it was wrong but an adamant little voice that hadn't died despite all the horrors she had put it through was whispering in a soft voice to let it fly. After having been kicked, whipped and torn apart that voice was still alive and it wasn't willing to give up. It hadn't been six years ago and it wasn't now and wasn't that something to aspire to? Despite being the smallest of all voices, the voice made herself heard and had a greater impact than all the other voices together. The voice that wouldn't give up no matter what Lexi did to it. No matter how often Lexi ignored it, ignored her own heart it wasn't giving up on Lexi. At least her heart would always be there for her. At least her mind wouldn't have to be alone during the dark hours of the day anymore.

This was not how it was suppose to end.

Because in the second of our death we create eternity.
