my biggest interests right now are TTRPG (i play dnd and cpr!), revue starlight, overwatch and vocaloid/vocal synth. i also like persona, pokémon, the elder scrolls and some other stuff. you’ll find out when i post em.

this blog is mostly me rambling about my interests or just stuff in my life vaguely. sometimes the journal factory blows up and there is just nothing we can do about it. i love analysing things, but don’t expect too much in-depth analysis from me.

i stopped playing around like 5.6 and ive been around since 1.1 and i think its been my year(s?) away from the game that’s really made me take a look at these characters and go. wow they look cool. not a fucking clue what they’re supposed to be though. LIKE there are some really nice designs that are very good at communicating the concept but the rest are kind of just. anime people

like look at the raiden shogun. that is a terrible character design as far as communicating what she’s meant to be is concerned. it’s VERY good looking, the colours are nice, the shapes are nice, visually appealing and well-done design as far as that’s concerned. but you have no clue she’s meant to be a god unless you know the lore. she’s literally kind of just some woman.

and this was done for 2 reasons i think. 1 is making more bold design choices may be difficult on a technical level, but i think 2 is because they’re afraid to make big swings with these designs because of marketability and just. money. it’s really disappointing.
