A String Of Nauseous Consciousness On Vacation

No sound did shatter my mind but for the words of birds that speak in the language of the avian spring what comes not for granted. They know this and in their gusto so they live and toil in soil as did the humans of old. You may not bury me here in this place, for I am unworthy

I found myself by the river as I never do these days and the water was silty and cold. The flecks of life sparkle and twist delever life to all the plants. Silt fits, that life glitters like gold and silver carried in cool water to the trees that give shade and make air. To the grasses that carpet and feed and to all of the weeds that are torn from the ground in cultivated gardens. Here the stone is God and its Goddess is cold water. You may not bury me here in this place, for I am unworthy 

I found myself on the mountain as I never do these days and I had missed her silhouette. She is far too good, inhospitable, though she nurtures with challenge and inspires, simply with her shamelessness. Some called her a gateway to the stars and these stars are never more present as when she is with them. You may not bury me here in this place, for I am unworthy.

I find myself in the workplace as I always do these days. Scorched when exposed to the endless pavement and freezing in each air conditioned building. Uninspired, noisy and alone only in spirit. With only memories of birdsong, cold water, sweet air and her beautiful silhouette. No plants, no trees not forced into their proper home among the medians, no silt to support life. The flavor of diesel fuel in my food to pair the plastic sheen in the water I'm thankful to drink makes me love that place where silt flows. No mountain to inspire, no soil to toil in like the humans of old. No challenge that seems worth doing after that of the mountain. Fluorescent lights where stars used to be that bring migraines like starlight brings peace. Never a star to be seen in this place of permanent industry.

Seth Hokaiba: "I activate my trap card, Newman's Intervention! Jerry's attack is negated and he is returned to your hand."

Yugimoto: "Well played, Seth. But I have another card up my sleeve. I summon George Costanza to the field!"

Seth Hokaiba: "I'll use Elaine's Dance of Joy to boost George's attack points. George attacks directly, reducing your life points by 600."

Yugimoto: "I'm not done yet. I summon Kramer to the field and use his Slippery Shoes ability to dodge your attack."

Seth Hokaiba: "Hmm, it looks like I'm going to have to bring out my big guns. I summon the Soup Nazi to the field and use his No Soup For You ability to negate Kramer's ability."

Yugimoto: "Well played, Seth. But I still have one more trick up my sleeve. I activate my ultimate card, The Marble Rye Heist! This allows me to take one of your cards and add it to my hand."

Seth Hokaiba: "No! You can't take my Jerry Seinfeld card!"

Yugimoto: "Too bad, Seth. The Marble Rye Heist is successful and now I have the upper hand. Jerry Seinfeld, attack directly and win the game for me!"
