The most terrifying moment of my life has arrived. Right now, as I type these words, the doctors are beginning my mother's surgery. They had to start because her body couldn't wait another second, but the required amount is still dangerously out of reach.

I am shaking in this hospital corridor, and I have nothing left except this cry:

This is life or death, happening right this second.

I am begging you with every fiber of my being:

Hello friends, I am Yasmin from northern Gaza Strip. I am 27 years old, a mother of two children, Sila and Youssef, and I have been married for more than 7 years.

I was studying Journalism and Media at the University College, and I had both a home and a job. But because of the war, I lost my home, my work, and everything I owned.

My family’s house was also destroyed, and now we have nothing left except a worn-out tent whose torn walls cannot protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter.

My husband is injured. He was involved in a traffic accident while trying to get aid, and he is now disabled and unable to work.

My children have suffered from malnutrition due to the lack of food and proper nutrition.

That is why I am only asking for your help and support. I am here trying to save what is left of my children’s lives. They are between life and death.

6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe additional health complications. In September she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She has since been comatose and fluid is building up around her brain.

Medical staff have worked very hard to reduce the swelling. But despite their efforts, Souad's brain is now hemorrhaging (bleeding). The swelling has been too persistent, and the pressure is rapidly bursting the cells of her brain, causing bleeding. This will kill her. Little Souad is dying.

She needs to be evacuated outside of Gaza, but this is extremely expensive. However, in addition to the high cost of the medical evacuation, her family is also forced to pay high medical fees to the private hospital which is caring for her. It is the only facility in Gaza with the capacity to slow the deterioration of her condition, and these bills must be paid for her to live long enough for evacuation. We are now raising funds to both support Suad’s immediate life-sustaining care, AND eventual medical evacuation.

Some incomplete stuff and sketches from the past month. Having fun with some brushes I hardly ever use and doing extremely loose sketches.

Recently came across some old artwork of mine from 2020. The California fires were affecting the PNW, I started listening to Tinariwen, and Mad Max was all over my discover page. It all culminated in a loose story centered on the Tuareg people in a post-apocalyptic world.
