𝐎𝐇, 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐇𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐋𝐄𝐃𝐆𝐄 ... in all the doctor's 900 years, he still hasn't seen everything the universe has to offer, he still comes across people, beings and things he doesn't understand. and he revels in it — it just makes the timelord giddy to have the opportunity learn 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚗𝚎𝚠. his hand may have recoiled from her wings, but his gaze remained, regarding her with such interest.

❝ oh... oh, well that's just— that's brilliant !! ❞ a wide grin crosses his features, bright and shining and overflowing with wonder, with admiration. a physical manifestation of something so ... so 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚛𝚗𝚊𝚕 so intrinsically at the core of someone. that was utterly fascinating.

Well, perfect to look at, maybe. And it was, it was beautiful. They used to call it the Shining World of the Seven Systems. And on the Continent of Wild Endeavour, in the Mountains of Solace and Solitude, there stood the Citadel of the Time Lords…

𝐀 𝐒𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐏𝐎𝐔𝐓, 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐒 𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 as the doctor 𝚜𝚑𝚛𝚞𝚐𝚐𝚎𝚍 off her remark — he was used to them by now, and don't tell anyone but he absolutely wouldn't have it any other way. the t.a.r.d.i.s would be a painfully quiet place without donna noble.

mostly. she's going to have to find a house. she's got no money for the repairs, and it's weighing on her head like an anvil. what's life without something weighing on you, she supposes.

𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄 … 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 follows in the wake of all his adventures. he's just 𝚜𝚘, 𝚜𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚏𝚞𝚕 that this time around it was only small. well, relatively speaking. the house had been destroyed but donna ... donna was alive and well, as was her family, that was all that mattered. to have lost his best friend once killed him, to have lost her a 𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 ... couldn't bare thinking about.

❝ I-uh- ngk... yeah... I suppose I do. ❞ he fumbled, scratching at the back of his head. the doctor was fully taking her words seriously — all the while glossing over the part where she'd invited him to visit. although ... that would be nice — it was only fair. he'd stumbled back into her life, blown up her house, and almost killed her ... the least he could do was fix the damage he'd caused.
