okay so this is a very common sentiment among bi/het feminists so if you’re looking to get their homophobic approval then you’re well on your way. i don’t mean to be mean, but you gotta use your brain here.

first of all, no one is going to say you have to like dildos or penetration. second, a dildo is not a dick. a silicone toy made for female pleasure is not the same as a penis, nor do they resemble penises (yes, i’m aware of the hyper realistic ones, but no lesbians i’ve ever met wants to look at those. many dildos come in *vagina shaped* with fun ridges and designs for unique pleasure points). third, are fingers also pseudo-penises too because they can also go into the vagina? come on. be serious.

i think you spend too much time online if you think lesbians are also obsessed with strap ons. vast majority of us find them fun “sometimes” things - again, because they are sex toys - and others don’t like them at all. who gives a fuck if a lesbian like a goddamn toy. why does it matter to you? why is lesbianism constantly put under this microscope? why can’t we just like something without anyone else thinking we secretly like men and their dicks? i’ve worn a strap on - does that make me a man suddenly? do my tits and pussy disappear when i wear a harness? do i turn into a man?

i’ve criticized the way people talk about butches and straps on here many times. i prefer tongue and fingers but im not going to deny strap has been fun to use before. i think we all need to start seeing lesbian as a morally neutral sexuality and stop trying to nitpick every single thing we do to find a loophole to us secretly wanting men. do you give this criticism to gay men too? do you poke holes in how they like to have sex to just prove they are secretly straight? or just lesbians?

A great example of the trans community not being able to stick to one story. For the longest time they said that sex couldn’t be changed, but gender could. Then they started saying that both gender and sex change at the same time. Now some are pushing for the idea that sex changes but gender doesn’t? And nobody can agree with each other within the trans community on this, but you bet they’ll call you a bigot if you’re confused by it too.

There is one criteria for being a woman, one box you have to check, and that is being biologically female. You can be literally anything else as long as you check that box, masculine or feminine, a Russian housewife or a Portuguese construction worker or British cottagecore lesbian or American cowherder. 

That is…. so much more liberating than thinking womanhood is femininity, or lipstick, or shaving your legs, or wearing skirts, or conforming to misogynistic ideals, or somehow “feeling” like a woman.
