I really like this new wall shower that came with Snowy Escape, but I didn’t like very much that there is a mirror attached to it, so I made this version without the mirror. It has all the swatches from the original but I made it slightly cheaper, since there is no mirror. Snowy Escape is required.

My elevator doors, realistic simple doors and modern base game build mode add-ons have now been updated for the Star Wars patch that broke CC doors and windows. Please redownload them. The links are in the original posts:
Elevator Doors: https://thesimmer40.tumblr.com/post/622191528385839104/more-elevator-doors-updated-for-star-wars-patch
Today I bring my first ever kitchen set! There are 8 objects included: a regular counter, island counter, cabinet, fridge nook, built-in fridge, built-in stove, cooktop and a built-in double oven. The counters are based off the Cool Kitchen one (although this set is base game compatible), however I’ve made new textures without those weird squares that the original one has, replaced some of the meshes that I didn’t like very much, removed the glass from the cabinets and counters and made them completely flat, and also made the doors/drawers for the island counters face the other way, since I don’t think it makes much sense for it to be on the side that the stool goes on. Besides that, I made 5 new extra objects that match this set. More information and the download link are under the cut.
These are all the objects included in this set (including the fridge nook and the cooktop that weren’t shown in the first picture):
These are all the counter and cabinet shapes:
All of the objects in the set (except for the cooktop) come in 12 base colors and also in 4 different marble countertop colors (for the regular counter, island counter and built-in stove), which makes it 48 swatches in total (or 12 for the ones that don’t have a countertop), as can be seen below:
The cooktop is a standalone object and can be placed on any counter and only comes in one swatch. It doesn’t include an oven, so you should use the double oven object along with it. Only the bottom oven of the double oven is functional (the upper one is just decoration), and the oven door animation might clip a bit with the sims’ legs, but I decided to include this object anyway since I really liked it. The built-in stove includes both a cooktop and also an oven under it built into a counter mesh and matches the counter textures. The built-in fridge looks like a cabinet however the colors might look slightly different compared to the cabinets/counters since it uses a different shader. This was needed otherwise the fridge door animation wouldn’t work if it used the counter shader. Lastly there is a fridge nook that can be used with other fridges (I recommend that you use a No Occluders mod such as Peacemaker’s, otherwise the fridges are gonna have weird shadows when placed in the fridge nook).
You can search for them in the catalog as “Basic Modern” (or “Moderno(a) Básico(a)” if your game is in Portuguese). Like I said in the beginning, this set is base game compatible.
Since Eco Lifestyle patch added the ability to freely move doors and windows horizontally, the 2-tile/3-tile versions of my Realistic Simple Doors are no longer needed, so I’ve removed those versions and the file size has been reduced. If you had the old merged version and you want to download the new reduced version, the link is in the original post.
I’ve decided to make more elevator doors for my elevator mod, so now there are six options to choose from (the five pictured plus the original one seen in the original post). The first one is based off the Discover University cheaper elevator. The second one looks pretty much the same as the original one but with swatches from the Eco Lifestyle elevator instead of City Living ones. The last three are the City Living modern elevators (for short, medium and tall wall heights) which I’ve wanted to do for a long time but I didn’t know how to add that light resource to doors, but I finally managed to do it. More information and the download link are under the cut.
This is how the backside/interior part looks like:
The way that they function is the same as the original elevator door I did some months ago, and you will need to use the elevator portals along with the doors like I explained in that post, so be sure to check it if you haven’t already. Note that the elevator portals require Realm of Magic because they use tuning from that pack.
Two of the new elevators require other packs instead of City Living, so if you don’t have City Living you can still have elevator doors in your game if you have Discover University or Eco Lifestyle (plus Realm of Magic for the portals). The old-looking one requires Discover University, the one with the wooden frame requires Eco Lifestyle and the other ones (the modern ones and the original basic elevator) require City Living.
UPDATE: The doors have now been updated for the Star Wars patch that broke CC doors and windows. Please redownload them.
DOWNLOAD
IMPORTANT: The files "TS40_ElevatorPortals" and "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CORE" are required, otherwise the mod won't work! However you still need at least one other "TS40_ElevatorDoor_..." file for the actual elevator doors, since "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CORE" is just the tuning and animation and doesn't include any meshes! Also, if you downloaded the previous version where there was a file called just "TS40_ElevatorDoor", delete it because it has been split into these two files: "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CORE" (tuning and animation) and "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CLSimple" (actual door).

Today I bring you my first fence and railing in The Sims 4! I followed 95643222′s tutorial on how to make CC fences and it wouldn’t have been possible without it! For the railing, I did pretty much the same steps as for the fence. More information and the download link are under the cut.
I decided to do this cable wire fence/railing since we currently don’t have anything similar to that in the game. The fence posts repeat every 2 tiles and you can place them on round foundation pieces too if you want. I used the City Living fence as a base, however this fence is base game compatible. The fence and the railing come in three swatches (black, gray and white) each:
There was a bug with the black swatch where it would have the regular door swinging animation instead of the sliding animation. This has now been fixed so if you downloaded it before Jun 4th, 2020, please redownload it. The download link is in the original post here.
I’ve also added a note in the post about how to delete or move the portals since some people have asked me.
Functional Light Switch and Decorative Power Outlets
I decided to make these to make houses look more realistic. It’s a set of light switches (two variants, one with a single switch and one with two switches) and power outlets (two variants as well, one with a single outlet and one with two outlets). The light switches are fully functional, you can click on them to turn on/off all lights in the room or in the lot. The automation and color/intensity options are also available. They can be useful since you can turn the lights on or off without the need of zooming out. The power outlets are just decor.
More info and the download link are under the cut.
Each light switch comes in three versions: one fully-centered, one shifted to the left and one shifted to the right. They look and function the same, but I made the shifted versions so they are easier to place next to doors without needing to use Alt. I recommend using F5 though.
The power outlets also come in three versions each: a regular one and two that match the counter height, so it can be placed right on top of counters without needing to use Alt. The first counter-height version looks the same as the regular version and is intended for counters that do not have a backsplash, while the second one is thicker, for counters that do have a backsplash. The variant versions have custom thumbnails so they’re easier to find.
They all come in two swatches (white and gray) and can be found in Kitchen > Alarms. The light switches can also be found in the Wall Lights category. They are base game compatible.
You can download either the merged version of the light switches and power outlets or the separate files down below. If you download the separate files, keep in mind that the “TS40_LightSwitch_Single“ file is mandatory since it contains the custom tuning for the light switches. The other files are optional.
I’ve wanted to make a Brazilian-style BBQ grill in The Sims 4 for quite some time and I finally did it. This style of grill that is built-in and kinda looks like a fireplace is very common here in Brazil, probably even more common than the American-style ones that we have in game (I personally have never met anyone that has an American-style grill in real life), and it always bothered me that we never had something like this in the game before, although I understand since it’s an American game. This grill comes in 4 swatches and it costs §1100.
Realistic Simple Doors Add-On (Updated for Star Wars patch)
Happy new year everyone! Today I bring 12 new doors (actually 4 doors and 8 archways) that are edited from the base game six-panel doors (both with glass and without). I’ve chosen the six-panel ones because I personally prefer them and use them more often. More info and the download link are under the cut.
I’ve added some details to them such as hinges and door latch holes (that can be seen in the images below) because I wanted them to be more realistic:
I also created double versions of these doors (both with glass and without), which don’t exist in the game, and they come in two versions each: one centered in 2 tiles and one centered in 3 tiles. The single doors also come in two versions each (centered in 1 or 2 tiles). (3-tile versions for double doors and 2-tile versions for single doors are no longer needed after Eco Lifestyle patch).
All of these doors also come in a permanently open version (which actually behaves as an archway, which means you can’t lock them), since in real life it’s common to leave some of the doors open, and I thought it would be nice to add some open doors to the game.
Last but not least, I’ve also added matching archways. For each archway there’s a version with the hinges/latch holes still there (as if there used to be a door there that has been removed) and a version without them, and they also come in 1 or 2-tile versions for single archways and 2 or 3-tile versions for double archways. (again, 3-tile versions for double doors and 2-tile versions for single doors are no longer needed after Eco Lifestyle patch).
They all come in the same nine swatches as the original ones, however I made the dark brown ones as the default swatch, to make them easier to find in the catalog compared to the original ones that are white by default. You can also find them easily by typing “realistic” in the search bar.
UPDATE: The file size has now been reduced because the 2-tile versions of single doors and 3-tile versions of double doors are no longer needed after Eco Lifestyle patch, so I’ve removed them and there are now 12 doors in total instead of 24. If you had the old merged version and you want to redownload, make sure to delete the old version first. If you had the unmerged version, there’s no need to redownload, just manually delete the 2-tile/3-tile versions instead.
UPDATE 2: The doors have now been updated for the Star Wars patch that broke CC doors and windows. Please redownload them.
They can be downloaded below, either merged in one package file or unmerged, but download only one of these options, not both.
DOWNLOAD (Merged)
DOWNLOAD (Unmerged)
If you have Legacy edition or if you haven’t updated your game for Eco Lifestyle patch and you still want the additional 2-tile versions of single doors and 3-tile versions of double doors, you can download the older version (with 24 doors in total) below. Download only one of these options, not both:

Discover University brought us open showers so I decided to make a more modern version that will fit modern builds. The mesh is from one of the base game showers, but it includes more shower head colors. The original one included only light gray and white, but this one also includes black, bronze, gold, dark gray and another shade of light gray. This uses the same tuning as the open shower that came with Discover University, which means that sims can enter it from any side (front, left or right). Discovery University is probably needed for this to work. I’ve previously made another open shower using Jungle Adventures shower mesh that can be downloaded here.
Jungle Adventure Shower Add-ons (UPDATED for Discover University patch)
I really like the shower that came with Jungle Adventure, but I didn’t really like the back walls, so I decided to make some versions without it. There are four versions included, all of them without the back wall. One of them is simply the shower without the back wall but keeping the curb (bottom part), a second one also removes the curb, a third one also removes the side glass but keeps the front one (meant to be placed between two walls), and the fourth version is just the shower head, taps and drain with no glass at all. There are 5 swatches which change the color of the metal parts (white, light silver, gold, dark silver and bronze/copper). The original shower had more swatches, but only the back wall tiles changed, keeping the same metal colors as the previous ones, so I didn’t include them.
UPDATE: The showers have been updated for Discover University patch. Please redownload unless you already used Sims4Studio batch fix. Also, the shower head version has been updated to use DU open shower animation and tuning, since sims can enter it from any side instead of just from the left, so Discover University is needed for this version to work (I think).
IMPORTANT: I didn’t change the entrance of the shower head version, so sims still enter it from the left, so you must leave at least half a tile to the left of the shower free so sims can enter it. (not anymore)
Jungle Adventure shower add-ons have been updated for Discover University patch. Also, the shower head version now uses Discover University open shower tuning, so sims can now enter it from any side (front, left or right), not just from the left anymore.
Functional Elevator Door and Portals - UPDATED Sep 12th, 2020
It’s been a while since I don’t post anything, but when Realm of Magic was released and included those debug portals, I thought that they could be useful for making elevators, so what I did is I created rugs that function as portals from Realm of Magic that you can use along this elevator door (which is basically the City Living cheaper elevator turned into a door) to make functional elevators for your builds. You can decorate the interior of the elevator however you like. Notice that sims will still teleport, but at least they will go inside the elevator before they teleport. More info and the download link are under the cut.
You can have up to three independent elevator shafts by using different colored portals (blue, red and green). For example, if you have two elevator shafts like in the first image, you could use blue portals for the elevators in one shaft and red portals for the elevators in the other shaft.
For 2x2 elevators, you should place these OUTSIDE the elevator (one square behind it, facing inwards), like in the picture below. Otherwise, the door will not open when sims go inside the elevator.
For each color, there are entrance (IN) and exit (OUT) portals. There needs to be at least one of each type otherwise it will not work! For example, if there are three floors, you could have either two IN portals and one OUT portal or the opposite, but not three IN portals or three OUT portals. See the example below.
After you place them, you can make them invisible by choosing the black (invisible) swatch:
The doors and portals themselves do not have any special interactions, to use the elevator you just click on the ground where you want your sim to go. If it’s the fastest route, the sim is gonna use the elevator.
The portals can be found in Build Mode > Wall Attachments (I chose this instead of Rugs because it’s closer to the Doors category) and cost §1 each and the door can be found in Build Mode > Doors (obviously) and costs §1000. I’ve only made the door for the cheaper City Living elevator, not the fancier one as that one is lit up and I don’t know how to add that light effect to a door (no longer true after June 28th, 2020, since there are now more doors models to choose from). Because the portals use Realm of Magic tuning, that pack is required.
EDIT: Some people have asked me about how to move/delete the portals after you made them invisible. To do that, you can place any object near where you placed the portals and use the sledgehammer to delete it by dragging it from the object to the area where the portal is. If you just want to move them, you should first delete them by this method and then replace them somewhere else.
UPDATE: If you downloaded this before June 4th, 2020, please redownload it because there was an issue where the black swatch would have the regular door swinging animation instead of the sliding animation. This was because I had forgotten to change the tuning for the black swatch and it had the original door tuning, but now this is fixed.
UPDATE 2: I have added new elevator door models that you can see in this post. The download link is the same in both posts, though. If you downloaded the previous version where there was a file called just "TS40_ElevatorDoor", delete it because it has been split into these two files: "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CORE" (tuning and animation) and "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CLSimple" (actual door). Also, make sure to have both the files "TS40_ElevatorPortals" and "TS40_ElevatorDoor_CORE" in your Mods folder because they are required for the mod to work!
UPDATE 3: The doors have now been updated for the Star Wars patch that broke CC doors and windows. Please redownload them.
It always bothered me how the square wall tiles from Spa Day didn’t have any maching floor tiles, so I made them myself. They come in the same 12 colors as the wall tiles and cost §4 each. Spa Day is required.

I’ve created a fully-functional washer and dryer (Laundry Day required) based off the modern ones from The Sims 3: Ambitions. They are not exactly identical, as they are slightly shorter, both the washer and dryer are front-loaders and the drum looks the same as the Laundry Day machines rather than The Sims 3 ones. You can tell the washer and dryer apart from the drum and also from the top part with the buttons (the first one in the image is the washer and the second one is the dryer). I didn’t change the animation, so sims won’t really use those buttons on the top, but I did change the display symbols to the top part and they actually light up. Since the buttons are on the top, the dryer cannot be stacked on top of the washer. The washer costs §800 and the dryer costs §825 and they both come in 13 color swatches as seen below:
Apparently the fan still required Laundry Day because of the light bulb, so I created a new version that is finally base game compatible. I also changed the Cool Breeze moodlet icon to a wind icon which makes more sense than a thermometer. If you don’t own Laundry Day please redownload it (and remember to delete the previous version).
