Been playing along on Yapskew's pokemon series on tiktok, where I was trying to make an op team until I got lost in the delibird sauce.

Anabel mentioned that she likes dragons so Hero decided to get her an egg. Also an apply juice because one of the books in his library said that children like those.

Unfortunately that was the extent of the childcare tips that he found, so he ended up bringing the lost twelve-year-old along with him on his vengeful spirit duties instead of bringing her back home.

It's the yellow model that we get as the player. And its clearly a big deal to get one- I'm pretty sure in pokespe we only see the pokedex holders get one, and in the anime Max is the only person in the main travelling group to get one (essentially making it rarer than a pokedex).

But in Emerald, every birdkeeper, little old grandma, and jump-scaring ninja-toddler has one- as seen by the fact that they can all match call you.

So I'm thinking that maybe there are two kinds of pokenavs. See in this Devon Corp TCG art-

There's a silver version, which seems to be some sort of primitive Beta model (see: the external antenna). But in the background, we also see both the 'regular' Yellow model, and then an Orange model that's only seen with one other character afaik-

Scott from the battle frontier, who doesn't own any Pokemon; and thus wouldn't need the pokedex/Condition scan functions- just the map/phone functions.

My theory is that this Orange model is actually the 'standard' Pokenav. It would be cheaper, more accessible, and ninja-toddler friendly. Just a standard phone, instead of also having inbuilt apps to access the Pokedex research base, and scan your Pokemon's characteristics. The general public probably wouldn't need those apps anyway!

Meanwhile, the player's Yellow model might actually be a specialised research model, which can only be acquired from Pokemon Professors and the like (or from a Pokemon Professor's best friend, in Max's case). A rare and sophisticated piece of technology, made to help you analyse the world around you, instead of just navigate it.

Was trying to search up some emerald character refs and this absolutely WILD list of pokemon emerald characters showed up.

Like, right off the bat- Anabel at the top of the list?? Anabel. The postgame boss that most people never even reach. Like I know my corner of Tumblr is cheering at this but WHO PUT HER THERE. surely not any of my mutuals because none of the other frontier brains even made the list. w h a t.

Then its BERTHA?? my dear lady since WHEN are you in pokemon emerald. Is your nephew Roland secretly related to Factory Head Noland?? What is the obscure internet article lore.

Its fine from there. Two gym leaders, two elite fours, one player character. How on earth is this list being ordered. Surely not by plot relevance or overall popularity.

And then Jigglypuff. Why is Jigglypuff on a list of human characters. Is this another Bill situation that I haven't been informed of???

But hey, checking the rest of the list, I'm happy to report that Juan managed to make it into slot #9 out of #27, inexplicably followed up by the even more niche Lanette.

Meanwhile both the champions ended up in the bottom seven.

This just in the entire hoenn battle frontier has perfect wi-fi and cellphone coverage. Except for Scott's house. The man forged a man-made island from nothing, using only his own two hands wallet; and he proceeded to place his own house in the only dead internet zone.

Any time he wants to watch media coverage about his own international battlegrounds sensation, he needs to put on his coat, lock his front door, and go for a stroll to the local pokemon centre to watch it live on the waiting room tv.

Lilac Heart

When she was a young filly, Lilac made her way into the mountains alone. In the harsh conditions, she was forced to quickly discover her special talent- taming the hearts of the 'beasts' around her.

She lived out in the wilderness for a few years, gathering travelling companions. However now, with danger threatening Equestria, Lilac is one of seven who got scouted to protect the 'Frontier'; a safe stronghold full of hapless Equestrian citizens.

She's still only young; but with the help of her beast friends, she is determined to fight until she is victorious.
