Good Omens Finale trailer!!!!!!!!!!
it makes me so very sad that we may never get to witness Jorah malding over Jon Snow's existence in canon. it'd be so funny, I just know it would.
what if you were JORAH MORMONT (45 year old balding landless & penniless divorcee) and your CRUSH (16 year old mythically beautiful magical messiah empress) was STOLEN by the BASTARD son of the man who BANISHED you. and YOUR DAD gave him YOUR ANCESTRAL SWORD. what then.

I don't think it really hit me how horrifying Victoria Javadi's life is to me until that conversation with her mother in Season 2 ep. 10. Like. This girl isn't even 21 yet.
She isn't even 21 years old and she is a year out from graduating medical school. She's graduating on average five years earlier than most people. Javadi started medical school at 18 years old.
And yes, she could have sped through college, there are definitely ways to graduate in under four years, but I'm putting her at graduating at three years at the earliest. Maybe there is some insane way she graduated in two years, but that puts Javadi at fucking Sixteen Years Old when she started college. At The Absolute OLDEST. And in some scenarios, she's starting college at 14 years old.
and i know that this is a thing that happens. i know that, but good fucking god, has Javadi ever had any moment to be a kid? has Javadi ever had any chance to make a choice for herself? what the hell did summer vacation look like for this kid? of course her tiktok account is all about work and being a doctor - javadi doesn't know anything else, at all!
and her mother has the absolute gall to be upset that javadi has found a specialty she likes? Shamsi is honestly going to be fucking lucky if javadi doesn't turn thirty years old and realize she completely hates being a doctor! Javadi chose her career at sixteen (lets be honest, probably 14) years old and it was the job both her parents have - did she even conceive of any other options??
seriously, javadi is breaking my goddamn heart
supriya stating in an interview that samira says the “maybe i just don’t belong here” line in the hope that he will correct her. to tell her that she does, that she’s important to the ed. but he just stares and doesn’t comment. how fucking painful it must be to see him refuse to comment on a sentence that is a clear red flag and a cry for help. from a person who has been her mentor for four years. knowing he doesn’t care about her view of herself as a doctor. no reassurance from the one person she needs it from
In the fandom, we are what in Argentina we call "Monkeys with knives". We have the knife in front of us, and we dissect everything and kill everyone... And then we come back as if nothing happened to do in-depth analysis. Never in my life have I been part of such a well-constructed fandom. "X has problems, but also has these incredible abilities." And "Y suffers because of this, but that doesn't limit it's humanity."
Sometimes it gets a little out of hand, but I love how we dissect all the relationships among the staff at The Pitt, comparing them to the real world situation and the laws of the country.
It's simply incredible what The Pitt does for us. Love no one, hate no one. Human complexity on screen is back.
reminder that frank langdon lost his job for ten months, has been through withdrawals and at least one stint in rehab, is experiencing financial strain, is ostracised at work by the person he used to look up to most, is likely experiencing difficulties at home, is in a PHP (which if you haven't done any research into how fucked up this system is yet, please start here x x x x ), and is still in active recovery and always will be. and also a reminder that drug diversion occurs in medical settings and the creators of the show and many medical professionals have spoken very candidly about the realities of it.
just in case you were going to make another post about him 'experiencing no consequences' and saying you think he should've been fired/in jail (because suddenly you guys are very into carceral punishment? interesting take.). seems like the radical empathy some of you guys preach doesn't extend to addicts, huh?
And while I'm at it: it's crazy to me that people are framing it as "Trinity threatened to kill a patient" as if said patient wasn't a child molester lmao. Like ok it's all ~context~ and ~nuance~ when Langdon is stealing from patients to feed his addiction, but Trinity Santos telling a predator that she will kill him if he touches his daughter again is where the line gets drawn. Ok.

i think there are three things true about robby this episode. the first is that he is a white man in the biggest postition of power in that ED right now; his lack of care(besides the physical bare minimum) for pranita, refusal to stall or redirect the ice agents, or even to try and fight for a phonecall, is appalling. he only agreed to lawyers when his nurse was detained, and not for pranita. he wanted them, and her, away. we get to be critical of that.
the second thing is that he is a jewish man that faces antisemetism. seeing people be detained like that akin to the things that (probably) have happened to his family, most likely instilled fear into him and explains at least some amount of hesitancy to fight them or put face them. white supremacy(which ice is based on) doesn't consider jewish people to be the good guys.
third is, that he knew that if he put himself inbetween those guys, that he'd be detained. just like jesse ended up being. that would mean leaving his ED, not being able to help his staff through this offline nightmare, and not being able to go on with his plans. it is very logical that he wouldn't want to do that to them or himself. he's the chief, they still need him.
tl;dr. it's not just one thing, there are several factors why he acted the way he did, and while those get to be criticized, the first one being a very big point that needs to be adressed, we also have to look at it through a bigger lens
Okay. Who wants to yell with me about Langdon's back injury being back???
Yessss
I was watching and thought, "Did he hurt himself?" And then I remembered that he tore his back during the move and that's why he started taking medication.
This is the ultimate test. Live with pain and physical therapy, or return to drugs. This is the moment that will define Langdon's future.
"oh my god Frank is getting a divorce! We won!"
Is that all you got from the scene? The divorce? Not the twisted situation Santos is in? Not how Langdon is licking his wounds? But not really doing anything to earn forgiveness?
I'm too old or too queer for this fandom.
Spotted: Zionist caught on camera defending a white colleague instead of all his Latina colleagues and patients.
Pittlings moments on 211
Dennis trying to tell Santos about Robby and house-sit matter.
Mel fucked up knowing now she's the only virgin in the family.
Santos saying the truth to Langdon (golden boy situation) and Baran now knowing about it and knowing Langdon lied to her, when she asked him earlier.
Javadi holding the tears, and Robby supporting her during all the episode. And of course DR. J is gonna make a TikTok about the situation.
Emma being choked, my little lamb. She's the sacrificial for this shift.
There are 4 hours left... I need to know what the hell is going to explode because I feel like something really bad has to happen to bring about the whole climax.

Duke has to die so Robby can live. Life is so unfair.
Ned Brower released his new song "Bloodwerk" knowing he was going to be arrested by ICE tonight at The Pitt. Now that's marketing.
