the "biblically accurate angel" trend is such a perfect encapsulation of a pet peeve i have which is everybody wants to criticize the bible but nobody wants to read the bible. like when people were drawing crazy amalgamations of eyes and wheels talking to mary and saying "be not afraid" and everybody was like omfggg OF COURSE she was scared. like no actually the angel looked like a guy can you read 3 lines of text... they were saying be not afraid because it's scary when a random man suddenly shows up in your house and starts talking to you

I’m not saying it was a good idea but every society has tried to solve the problem of “society needs organization to function but power tends to corrupt people” and I like how ancient Rome’s answer was the position of the tribune, where you get to have unchecked power with no accountability for one (1) year but after that you’re just a guy and everyone you pissed off can beat you to death with hammers.

You don’t have to admit you have an open wound if you close the wound before anyone sees it, yknow? but the fucking problem is people do nothing but talk about how much they hate open wounds around you and it’s like buddy I’m trying to close the thing before you see it. and then they get out the wound salt “just in case” like okay great. now there’s wound salt in my open wound that you keep saying you hate and don’t want to see. give me some fucking breathing room to close the wound then damn……… but they already know about the wound because you’ve been trying to close it for years. they weren’t speaking in hypotheticals. they know. and yuuuup there’s more wound salt

fear not: you can also “attack” your friends even outside of art fight, so if you miss the chance to before august 2nd you can always get them after with no repercussions. No crime will be committed either way and its actually fine to draw art for others at any other time of the year
