the way u refered to the different ways sal presents himself in the analysis made me remember of how ppl with did talk abt their disorder. what do u think of the possibility of did sal? (i did not investigate this so uh srry if this is stereotypical or offensive)
I did also make a DID connection when I noticed it! I just didn't mention it with this name because it would be a pretty simplistic stereotypical portrayal of DID and it's definitely not intended to be that. I didn't feel like playing psychologist and diagnosing a character with things I don't have myself. I personally can see him having alters and dissociating and all of that but there's no actual proof of this so I gotta stay objective!
Butttt, actually, DID Sal is kinda canon! His profile in the School AU seems to imply he switches between his Red and Blue self like alternate personalities.
I mean, it's meant to be just a classic "good personality vs evil personality" trope, but it counts. Funa has another character that also does the blue vs red eyes thing and she canonically has DID sooo...
Ignoring the awfulness of real DID, I find it extremely funny that his mom is still alive here but absent after she left Old so what created the "Sal" personality in this universe was The Divorce.
