The Gotei 13 has received an increasing number of reports concerning unexplained disappearances among residents of Rukongai.

At this time, the cause of these incidents has not been confirmed. Investigations by the appropriate divisions are ongoing and further information will be released as it becomes available.

Residents are reminded to remain vigilant and to report any unexplained disappearances or suspicious activity in their district to the nearest officer of the Gotei 13 without delay.

We ask that members of the public refrain from spreading unverified rumours while the investigation continues.

There is coffee in the Seireitei! Though not nearly as much as tea. When a deadline is close, I rely on strong tea, fresh air, and the fear of disappointing my Captain.

Yes, I’ve heard of it. Miss Kuchiki showed me. She’d already filled the island with people she knew and was keeping me updated on all of their lives. Lieutenant Abarai especially.

Children are exhausting… but I think being trusted with raising one would be a privilege.

Regarding the second half of your question, you’re assuming a level of success in my personal life that I don’t feel comfortable predicting right now. My duties keep me busy enough as it is. Still, maybe one day.

Yes, I can! One advantage of working at the Seireitei Communication is learning things about every division.

On the other hand, one disadvantage of working at the Seireitei Communication is learning things about every division…

A few harmless examples:

Ask any three members of the Eleventh Division for a headcount, and you are likely to receive four different answers.

Most divisions have traditions that appear nowhere in the regulations, but recruits are expected to know them anyway (more on this in future).

The Shinigami Women’s Association has repeatedly suggested that the Men’s Association produce a calendar to raise funds for various initiatives throughout Seireitei. The proposal has received considerable enthusiasm. Details remain unclear.

An unexpectedly long assignment kept me away from my desk and from Seireitei Communications. I have finally returned and will be working through the accumulated questions. And paperwork. Which I’m pretending doesn’t exist…

I can’t be seen playing favorites… but I appreciate those who come to visit while I’m holed up at the Communication office.

The person I dislike the most is whoever keeps leaving photos of Captain Zaraki on my desk when I’m not there.

Honestly, whoever it is, please stop. I can only explain to him so many times that I didn’t take them.

Movie nights happen occasionally in the Seireitei. Most are imported from the World of the Living. I tend to prefer suspense or detective stories, and I admit I enjoy a good romantic comedy that tugs at the heartstrings every once in a while. Horror films are less enjoyable when half the audience starts arguing about how they would defeat the monster and the evening descends into drunken sparring before the movie’s even over.

Some fun facts:

Anyone can submit stories or haiku to the Seireitei Communication.

Captain Muguruma claims all the fan mail we receive is for him, even when my name is written clearly on the envelope.

There is currently a trend involving how far people can enter the Sixth Division barracks before being escorted back out. I have not participated in this myself, but apparently records are being kept. And somehow Lieutenant Abarai is not even on the leaderboard.

That depends on the day. Even the most reliable have their moments. Though some have more moments than others.

I’ll stop there.

They’re… a reminder. Not of strength, but of what I had to survive because I wasn’t strong enough yet. I don’t wish to hide them, but I wouldn’t exactly say I’m proud of them either.

That said if you think they look good, I won’t argue.

I’m not sure this is very Communication worthy… but yes, I am.

Yes, Fifth Seat Ayasegawa and I are good friends. They are extremely dependable, and definitely not someone to underestimate in battle.
