I DO understand that you ARE trying to help me with constructive criticism, and on a level I agree - especially as someone who is very good friends with a sound engineer who has given me many speeches about this. But there is something fundamentally important about my creative process that I don't think a lot of people relate to. Kinda like how Vewn draws characters in ways she prefers, and doesn't try to create bento-box looking (ultra-clean puppet) characters... I feel this way, philosophically, about voice-over.

I make animation with my friends because I enjoy making things with them, not because I'm trying to imitate what other people are doing.

I know it's very difficult to comprehend for some people because they associate "quality" with whatever is most widely accepted as "good." But when you're a real artist or creator, the act of creating itself is the important part, not the result of what you make.

I choose voice actors based on what my heart wishes, voice actors are an emotional and spiritual choice for me - not business one. Sometimes, this means calling on my professional voice actor friends with incredible talent and an understanding of sound engineering.

But sometimes, this means recording a neighbor with my phone, having a friend send me a voice message, or having a relative or hero I look up to shoot me some lines via phone.
