2023 SIMS MAKEOVERS

Hi everyone! It’s been such a long time since I have published anything in The Sims 4, but I’ve been busy with a lot of other projects such as my creative writing but also with playing spooky horror games. But owing to a bit of a twist of fate, I’ve decided to review every TS4 Sim that I have ever posted in this blog and give them all a little bit of a makeover and at the same time, remove all of the broken; inactive and sometimes dangerous links to Custom Content from creators who insist on placing their content buried behind layers of random advertising and dangerous websites that pop up and place you at risk. I’ll also be cutting down on all of the outfits and just going with one solitary Everyday outfit. So Tray Folder files that you download now, will be revised with just the one outfit and will also have all sim attributes modernised according to all of the EP/GP/SP packs that I have. So I’ll be starting from the beginning with Sydney Martin, my first ever sim on The Sims 4. Look out for “(2023.xx Update)” in the title and you will know that this sim has been revised. For now, I suggest to NOT download any Custom Content that is linked on any of my sims that have not had a 2023 update performed. I want you all to enjoy your gaming and browse safely on my blog. Given time, I will remove all links to external Custom Content unless it is content found on TSR (The Sims Resource). I hope that you enjoy the new look sims that I put through makeovers. Hi Remussims! I was wondering if you also have problems with the HQ mod after the recent update? I've removed mods to check if the culprit was one of them but the problem stayed. Do you know if this is known among the creators?

your timing is excellent! We (@pw-creations and I) are currently converting the game files to provide a complete resource for up-to-date HQ replacements. For now, you can find the base game files and some SP/GP here, so you can get your HQ mod running again:

please keep in mind that we're not entirely done at this point. base game and the new EP are done. We will keep you updated about our progress.

We are planning to set up a HQ mod resource to combine the fragmented information that are out there at the moment and to collect everything in one place. It's in the early stage though :)

If you're a hq user already, there is no need to replace any of your old files with ours (except for the base game and the new EP), unless the old files stop working.

It’s great news for HQ Mod users! Remus Sirion and PW Creations have reworked the Base Game files and the new EP. This is awesome because we know the new features introduced recently into the TS4 Base Game (regardless of packs) has meant that CAS has been broken. None of this kind of work ever comes easily and it is tedious, mind-numbing replication converting textures. Memories of when I did the Star Wars EP comes flooding back! But a huge shout out to @remussims and @pw-creations for doing this for those of us who cannot stand to play vanilla SQ.

The beautiful, Taty has done the skin texture fix for HQ Mod that is meant to fix the October 2020 update. I am going into game now to review, but I will still be having a look at some of the other previous updates to try and plug some of the missing HQ textures out of Base Game.
