In my batlantern WIP
Bruce and Hal break up temporarily and the kids are now working together to parent trap them back together.
They think they're both being stupid
Also canon thrown completely out the window
Fantastic. Amzaing. Perfection.đđ I need like 700 yesterday.đ¤ PleeeassseeeđŤđ
I love superbat as much as the next guy trust me but NOTHING will hit as hard as the
âBruce Wayne slowly falling in love with Hal Jordan as he watches Hal successfully win over and lowkey start parenting his children one by one whilst Hal remains entirely oblivious to how much the batkids like him to the point where they end up giving BRUCE a shovel talk not letting their new dad goâ
trope, Iâm sorry I would inject Co-parenting Batlantern into my veins if I could itâs just so GOOD
God now I can only imagine a bunch of milionaires billionaires sitting in a round table discussing about who's going to have Hal Jordan for the week just for Bruce Wayne and Oliver Queen to get it every time anywayđđđ
HAHAHA and Carol, too, a strong contender right there, I fear
Once in a while, Sinestro joins the table, and everyone has to give up their spot for the week
It's the scarcity that makes him undefeated still in that matter lol
Also, if you really think about it, Hal has broken every single one of those billionaires' hearts, one way or another, AND they still want him
What an icon
He has done more for the fight against Capitalism than all of us combined

OlĂĄ, adoro suas postagens sobre Bruhal....
An intrusive thought came to me after reading a 2022 fic on Ao3...
most (not all) that i've read, smeore is the batboys/Batgirl being protective of Bruce.... But what if it was the troops who were protective and jealous of Hal? Kyle wanting to keep Batman away from his mentor (mommy).
John wanting to keep my friend (sister) away from the grumpy family man... and his honda of children.
Guy who had almost had a heart attack when he saw Batman flirting with Hal (Jordan didn't notice)... How did Batman do that? He was just mumbling about Hal's ideas, but not letting anyone interrupt (his wife).
Now... the Bataclan... looking at their leader/father circling the pilot like a panther looking to eat the proud and brave bambi...
Sorry if this doesn't reflect their true personality, just my head thinking about a (not) married couple.
Pookie you got me at "Mommy" like half of my BruHal reputation is built on mommy Hal
Logically I think the Corps would not (dare to) have any problems with Hal dating whom, they are all adults, and they all have difficult relationships, partners, and traumas before.
BUT-
It's just funny to think that they would be fine with anyone
ANYONE BUT BATMAN
Keep in mind that during Hal's evil mother era, Bruce was the harshest person in the League, he was straight up a mean girl bullying Hal (rightfully but still) John even had to punch him for chewing out Hal after he was proven to be not as guilty as before (like, only 80% guilty, not 100% guilty yk)
Bruce (and many more, but not as much as Bruce) openly hated Kyle (the baby) for trying to replace Hal as the last Green Lantern. He was SO MEAN to Kyle like he just wanted to help.
At some point, hating on Bruce has become the favourite gossip of the Corps. Even Carol joined in at some point because loving Bruce is hard but hating him is easy.
And who always likes to do the hard thing around here? Hal.
I bet they are LIVID, just like us when we hear our friends getting back to her dickhead boyfriend. So they make working with them as hard as possible, also keeping Hal away as far as possible. It's a group effort that at some point, they just call the other evil ex-boyfriend, Sinestro to cause some problems right before a date.
Carol would be passive agressive af to Bruce.
John would always volunteer for the League's work instead of Hal.
Guy would be his normal self.
Kyle would lure Hal away from Batman with his big green eyes and "pwease help me (mommy)" facade. (He's a veteran at this point lol)
Like Bruce would see Hal in the Watchtower, fix himself up, walk over and Kyle would appear out of thin air, hugging Hal and luring him to get lunch instead of standing in the middle of the hallway being a Bat magnet.
Bruce, of course, is mad. He wants to launch some countermeasure plans but even the kids aren't on his side at all. No kids want to involve themselves in their dad's love journey ahaha (also half of them just straight up want to see him suffer in love, a little just because)
(Dick can be convinced, though) (But it's because Hal used to be his idol and he would very much like to have Hal in the family)
I have read many fics that the kids are protective of Bruce but honestly, with his records, I think they'll be glad it's not some super evil person that belongs to the Arkham Asylum. A little simplified but you get the idea. Also, they're very AWARE that their dad is, in fact, a very, very flawed, very mentally ill person, and if someone who's normal in the head wants him at all, it's a miracle.
(It's not like Hal's not a flawed, mentally-ill person; it's just that he looks like he keeps it together well enough on a daily basis)
(Good enough)
(also do you even know how many people want that cookie?)
(it's a competition over there)
Stop I love this. đđđ

At least show us the bison!
The best update.
wholesome and true - do not mess with the wildlife
to be clear, i bet this man has saved several lives, because yellowstone, in particular, has a huge problem with tourists being unable to comprehend that large animals are dangerous.
âWhy do you reread that fic if it hurts you?â Why do people get back with their exes. Be serious.
Guys I might just be cooking here but ghost batlantern
Minhkhoa Khan x Bruce Wayne x Hal Jordan
Like there's potential. Or I just read too many fanfics of both ghostbat and batlantern that I just mushed them together for my main au ideas.

Promise Iâll update my fics soon. Iâve been debut novelling my ass off.
From the media that brought you "Millennials are killing [insert industry here]" articles for years and years and years, now we have....
"Hey, Gen Z, we're gonna relabel vacations into something else now and tell you how you really should be wary of taking vacation because it might impact your financial future."
This is a goddamn dystopia, we know this, right?
KPOP DEMON HUNTERS (2025) + TUMBLR REACTIONS
thinking about that post of people assuming ao3 has an algorithm and also about how bonkers persistent the view is that ao3 is social media lite. like with startling regularity I get comments saying something along the lines of "it's probably weird to comment on a fic this old--" no it isn't!!!! this is an archive I am literally just assuming you searched for a selection of specific tags or sorted by kudos or looked back on my pseud or any other number of completely normal ways to use an archive site ?? kill the tiktok ghost in your brain and comment on old stuff it's NOT weird
Guess how many people contact us regularly to ASK for us to have an algorithm, go ahead. Because it's many. And I always take a little bit of enjoyment in explaining that no, we're not going to build a system to recommend fics to you based on your kudos, because for one thing that would be extra work, and for another thing that would require us to be tracking and using a lot more of your data than we want to. We actually do not want to monitor that people who liked Fic A also liked Fic B, or that people who like the tag "butt plugs" might also enjoy the tag "anal fisting", or whatever other nonsense seems to be the expectation these days. I already know enough (more than I'd love, in a perfect world!) about people's reading habits, and I don't want to have that knowledge deployed via algorithms on the Archive just because someone really wants an automated conveyer belt of content being streamed directly into their feed based on us extrapolating from their most commonly used tags or their most frequently visited works or whatever.
(I also do not want to imagine how many people would contact us to yell at us the second they got a 'bad' recommended fic. "I can't believe that you recommended this to me, you monsters!")
Anyway here's my favourite sentence to include in my answers: "We hope instead that users will take control of their own experience using the Archive, and choose for themselves what works they wish to view or not view." Apparently a novel view in this day and age.

Elizabeth MacDonough doesnât give fiery speeches on the Senate floor. She doesnât pound podiums, tweet clapbacks, or beg for airtime on cable news. Most people couldnât pick her out of a photo lineup. But this week, she did more to derail Donald Trumpâs legislative fever dream than any Democrat in Congress. With nothing but a binder, a brain, and a spine forged from 230 years of procedural precedent, she calmly gutted the âBig, Beautiful Billâ â and sent the Republican Party into a frothing, incandescent rage.
Hereâs the part that should terrify the GOP: sheâs not even elected. Sheâs the Senate Parliamentarian, the nonpartisan referee responsible for interpreting the arcane rulebook that governs the worldâs most dysfunctional deliberative body. She doesnât write laws. She doesnât vote. She doesnât grandstand. Her job is simple: enforce the rules, no matter whoâs in charge. And when Republicans tried to use reconciliation â a fast-track process meant for tweaking budgets â to shove through a far-right wishlist of land seizures, healthcare rollbacks, and anti-trans cruelty, she read the fine print and dropped the hammer.
The âBig, Beautiful Billâ was supposed to be Trumpâs magnum opus: a tax-slashing, Medicaid-burning, land-devouring beast of a bill that would reshape America in his image. It included everything from selling off millions of acres of federal public land to states and private developers, to gutting Medicaid for low-income families, immigrants, and trans people, to defunding Planned Parenthood and hacking away at environmental protections like they were weeds in a billionaireâs backyard. It was grotesque. It was rushed. And it was entirely dependent on sliding past Senate rules without a fight.
Elizabeth MacDonough was the fight. She reviewed the billâs contents and ruled â piece by piece â that major provisions violated the Byrd Rule, which bars unrelated ideological junk from hitching a ride on budget bills. The land sell-off? Not budgetary. Out. The Medicaid provider tax cap? Out. The bans on gender-affirming care, immigrant coverage, and ACA subsidies? Out. The GOP was left holding a gutted husk, their legislative trophy reduced to a few tax cuts and a pile of redacted dreams.
This wasnât sabotage. This was MacDonough doing her job â the job sheâs held since 2012, appointed under a Democratic majority, and respected by both parties until it became inconvenient. She is the Senateâs quiet guardian of process, a civil servant who doesnât answer to polls, Super PACs, or social media mobs. Her loyalty is to the rules â even as the people around her treat those rules like a hotel minibar. She doesnât flinch. She doesnât yield. She simply reads the law and applies it, with the precision of a scalpel and the force of a freight train.
And oh, how the GOP hates her for it.
Mike Lee, who tried to shove his public lands fire sale into the bill like it was a foreclosure listing, is already scrambling to rewrite the language and sneak it back in. Trump, fuming from whatever taxpayer-funded golf course heâs currently defiling, is screaming about âdeep state rule tyrants.â Senate Majority Leader John Thune is getting asked uncomfortable questions about whether itâs time to âreviewâ the Parliamentarianâs role â a polite way of saying, âCan we fire her for being smarter than us?â
Because thatâs the rub. They didnât lose because the Democrats outmaneuvered them. They didnât lose because of public pressure or media backlash. They lost because a woman they barely understand said, quite plainly, âYou canât do that.â And when they asked why, she handed them the rulebook. And when they tried to argue, she pointed to precedent. And when they blustered, she didnât even blink.
Elizabeth MacDonough has no political agenda. Thatâs what makes her so dangerous to people who do. She exists outside their theater. She answers to no party. And yet, she is currently one of the most powerful people in Washington â not because she makes the laws, but because she refuses to let anyone break them.
So no, she didnât kill the Big, Beautiful Bill. The GOP killed it themselves â by trying to use budget procedure as a battering ram for authoritarian fantasy. MacDonough simply told the truth. And in 2025, that might be the most radical thing anyone in government can do.
Let the Republicans rant. Let them plot her removal. Let them rewrite their monstrosities and try again. But remember this: when the bulldozers were revving, when the Medicaid cuts were inked, and when Trumpâs wrecking ball of a bill was barreling toward the American people â it wasnât a senator who stopped it. It wasnât a protest. It was a woman with a binder and a backbone.
We see you, Elizabeth. And we thank you.
FUCK YES, ELIZABETH!!!!
A few Republicans are reacting with indignation after the Senate parliamentarian advised that some of the measures in their tax and immigrat
Multiple Republicans erupted after Elizabeth MacDonough advised against key parts of the GOP megabill.
The Senate parliamentarian, often called a referee, has thrown a spanner in Trump's tax bill.
So far, the parliamentarian has determined that dozens of provisions do not pass muster to be included.
Some articles on this. Not sure what to make of the whole thing yet.
May G-d stretch a hand of protection over her. I suspect more than a few people will be willing to use violence to put her out of the way.
Especially now that Trump's found out she exists and is targeting her.
Also when praising her it's important to note that she is not striking ANYTHING from the bill for political reasons. Her position is nonpartisan. She is just looking at "passes the Byrd rule, yeah or nah?" and we also owe credit to the Democrats who have to challenge every single clause that's gone before her to get it before her in the first place.
Also as of 6am EST on 6/30/25 she's STILL reviewing things because the GOP is STILL changing language. One thing she's having to look at is the new CBO score which the Dems are claiming means the ENTIRE BILL (or at least the tax portion, which is most of it) violates the Byrd Rule now.
The reason we're still going and only just got to the Vote-o-rama portion is Dems forced a full reading of the then-current version of the bill which took 16 hours. They are fighting too.
