Still Unwritten

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

“Hey. You still alive?”

You lift your head up from the textbook that you had frustratedly planted your face into just moments before and stared up into the eyes of your best friend.

“Jongdae!? What are you doing in the library?” You sent a sheepish and apologetic grin at the girl from a few desks away when she sent you a sharp glare for being too loud. Jongdae threw her a blinding smile—which you couldn’t help but slightly pout at— before settling down in the chair besides you.

“What? I can’t come visit my best friend during finals week?”

“You can. But you’re done with finals early this year. Why would you return to the most depressing place on earth, filled with signs of desperation and eternal misery?” Jongdae let out a slight chuckle at your description.

“Obviously it’s to drop off the best finals care-package in the world.” Your eyes lit up at the bag he lifts up towards you..

“Ugh, you’re seriously the best.” You throw your arms around Jongdae with no hesitation and just miss the slight blush that crosses his face at your reaction.

“I don’t think you’re supposed to put that in there…” 

“Hm?” You winced as you watched your bumbling potions partner, Zhang Yixing, drop a mysterious purple liquid into the cauldron that you’re pretty sure wasn’t on the ingredient list. The cauldron began overflowing immediately.

You couldn’t help but let out a slight sigh as Yixing turned towards you apologetically, while your two best friends, Jongin and Sehun could be heard cackling from the back. 

“Are you not even attempting to try or are you just an idiot?”

You let a slight pout form on your face as you stared at your exasperated tutor. “I would actually be slightly offended if I didn’t also personally agree that my exam results are pretty abysmal.”

“Oh, so you know how to use the word abysmal?”

“Okay, now that kind of hurts.”

Sehun let out a deep sigh. “Sorry, sorry. I just don’t even know where to begin right now. I think we might need to increase the number of tutoring sessions too.”
