confessions from work

My first story comes from a few days ago when a customer asked me about pine nuts. A customer approaches me she asks me if we carry pine nuts and where they're at. I start to tell her that they are in fact in the baking aisle with the rest of the baking nuts. She cuts me off and says she's already been there. So in my usual fashion, if someone can't find something, I will physically walk then to said item. I start to walk over there and she doesn't follow, but I figured you know, whatever... I grab the whole box of pine nuts off the shelf and walk then back to her. She looks confused and dumbfounded. She proceeds to tell me how she's bought bigger bags before and asks me how much these are anyway. I tell her and say I will go look for the other bag and I get, "no, no honey, that's OK, don't worry about it". And I insisted and she looked clearly embarrassed that I could find them, exactly where I told her they would be and the look on her face was priceless. Made me feel better for her bitching about now finding them. Moral of the story, if you didn't look that's fine but don't lie to me that you did... I'll laugh at you later when you're dumbfounded.

After how long I have been working where I do I realize I have plenty of stories to share with the world.
