POWERPUFFCORN (History, Music and Members)

 One of the most promising band in Baguio City Today….POWERPUFFCORN has been in the music industry for almost six years now. Caesar Salcedo, the bandleader, put the band together. He did auditions for band members, hoping to come up with a group – a band exhibiting diverse musical influences, from rhythm and blues to soul reggae but nonetheless coherent and whole – the music of powerpuffcorn.
Slowly but surely, he succeeded in bringing together Bryant Utleg as lead vocals, Sherwin Cerilo on drums, Ian Magsano on bass, Gilbert Alangui on lead guitars.
ABOUT OUR MUSIC
We play mainly reggae and ska. Our main goal is to perfect and master these genres of music in order to appeal and entertain a new crowd of music enthusiasts. We aim to learn new ways for us to create our own distinctive flavor of music.

Bryant Utleg, Main Vocals
Bryant is really the man of group!! With his powerful voice makes the music livelier that adds more meaning to the song.
Caesar Salcedo, rhythm guitars/back-up vocals
Having the strong influences of reggae and blues, he has the zest and the enthusiasm to make us appreciate reggae. Trying to make is dent in the music industry his talent sparkles with the group.
Gilbert Alangui, lead guitar
Buboy continued the pursuit of hi career by joining the group in the mid march of 2008. He has infused Powerpuffcorn with his style of music, a groovy, bluesy guitar technique.
Ian Magsano, bass guitar/back-up vocals
Ian is true musician in the making, possessing a burning passion to entertain with Loads of humor, he wows the audience.
He has the real groove and soul for reggae. His beat uplifts the real essence and spirit of reggae.
Michael Quiambao. Percussions
Eka really adds passion to the reggae groove. His skill makes the song more positive soothing the positive vibe of reggae with his conga.
