if you don’t know what the kibbe body types are i will share a summary under the cut but i would suggest you either vote “i don’t know” or take a quiz then vote because it’s complicated. tl;dr you categorize different features into 5 different groups and then count how many of each group you have.
here is a chart of all the types:
as a disclaimer, the kibbe body types were intended to advise fashion decisions similar to guides like “if you’re an hourglass wear this!!”. kibbe wanted a more detailed list of body types than the fruits/shapes system. it’s also intended to work regardless of your weight but it sort of…doesn’t. it’s not perfect and i’d suggest you take your results with a grain of salt. i just think it’s fun and i don’t take it seriously. the kibbe body types don’t even include me personally because despite being a textbook theatrical romantic, i technically “can’t” be one because i am 5’11”. there are only a handful of types for tall women and all of them are predominantly “yang” which im not.
• there are two main categories: yin and yang. yin have is feminine, soft, squishy, and rounded, while yang is masculine, sharp, muscular, and boxier. (people who talk about this system will say that being yang doesn’t make you manly and vice versa which i agree with but these tests will call you manly regardless … so …
• you will be asked to rate different parts of your body as yin, yang, or both/neither based on their guidelines. they ask about your facial features, bone structure, fat distribution, muscle density, the texture of your flesh (? i don’t get it either), and height/size of certain body parts. at the end you will choose your body type based on your score.
dramatics are almost exclusively yang (but dramatic with some yang may be soft dramatics).
naturals are soft yang. they have angular features but they are slightly rounded or blunt.
classics are an equal balance of yin and yang. known for symmetrical features that are not particularly sharp or soft. weight is distributed fairly evenly.
gamines are similar to classic in the sense that there is an equal amount of yin and yang but while classics are mild and symmetrical, gamines features contrast each other. often described as petite, while their features are dramatic in proportion to their body, their body is physically smaller.
romantics are mostly or exclusively yin. delicate bone structure, curvy, often have an hourglass figure (so shoulders as wide as the hips with a small waist). it’s more about the curves created by their figure than the actual amount of fat: the hips create a curve and the upper torso creates a curve, whether it’s the fat over their stomach or ribcage or the size of their breasts that makes the curve doesn’t really matter, so you don’t need to be built like jessica rabbit or anything. romantics with some yang features are theatrical romantics.
here is the quiz i used but i hate it. if you have the time, i would find another one.

I’ve been thinking about how we teach WWII in the US and how it’s basically just the Holocaust and atomic bombs and that’s it. I was talking to my friend about this and mentioned a wartime atrocity that had been committed during WWII that I don’t think gets spoken about enough and she had never heard of it so I’m curious how well known it is. Therefore, I am asking,
Have you heard of the Rape of Nanjing (or Nanking)?

do you have ‘disproportionally’ sized hands relative to the other rest of your body?
(I have rather large hands. Like in terms of length. Long palms and long skinny fingers. They do not match the rest of me at all. I’m tall so it’s not horrible but they are certainly longer than they ought to be. Most gloves don’t fit me and I try to hide my hands in any photo I’m in. I’ve been called every name in the book: salad fingers, slender man, man- hands (I’m a cishet woman. It was intended to be an insult 🙄) anyway, I just want to see if I’m the only one out there. Maybe it’ll make me feel less ugly and freakish. Thanks)

See, I'm typically a gen/pre-relationship fic writer (focusing on the emotional intimacy/friendship aspect but can definitely be passed off as romantic). HOWEVER, whenever someone comment on my fics something along the lines of 'I'm so glad you are not shipping this CLEARLY brother-coded pair' or how 'shipping them is ew-incest-disgusting' (which, funnily enough, happens for a lot of my ships), I write a raunchy fic of said ship as actual incest / pseudo-incest and then publish anonymously. I don’t think anyone has caught on yet.
TLDR: I make incest AUs out of characters who are canonically unrelated out of spite for the sibling-coded people and it has become a tradition.
