The Paper Toy

Be curious. Be curious what surrounds you. Be curious of what it is inside you.

Each person is different, each person is a complete new world, and people are in the desperate need to find other persons that fit with themselfs. Social networks provide the tool to virtualize your personality, to fix a few lines, photos and likes for people to create an image of who you are. And this is how people met people now.

This project started based on the idea that people are as afraid of the other person as curious for what he thinks. Creating and uploading our fixed image personality looking for those strangers who think the same as us, or like the same thing as us. All of this while we are stilling on a bus, or in a train, maybe just in a cafeteria full of strangers who may think the same as us, like the same things that we do. We are just afraid.

We surround ourselves with screens creating this protector shield of all those things that happen and we see on our screen.

How about going back to the basic. It's hard, at least for me it is. To start a conversation with a stranger, you never know what are you going to find on the other side and I think that's kind of the beauty of it.

This simple school paper game that almost everybody knows plays the role of the icebreaker to start to get to know that person that you have around you.

The rules of the game are not complicated.

You need at least 2 persons to play. It needs     to be decided who it's going to start.

The first player takes The Paper Toy in his     hands

The second player chooses a number between 1     and 10

The first player open and close the paper toy     as many times as the number the second player chosen.

The second player chooses a number of the ones     are displayed inside.

The first player opens the flip with the     number the second player has chosen and reads out loud the question     displayed under it.

The second player answers.

The first player can answer too.

The first player gives the paper toy to the     second player and the process is repeated.  

When all of the questions have been answered,     the players can share the paper toy with someone else, write on it, take     pictures and upload them, write about their experiences in the blog https://thepapertoy.tumblr.com/     or do what ever they want with this new experience they have been part of.
