In the past few weeks i’ve had 4 of my idols in this industry come to me and tell me they are proud of me and the work that i am doing. My brain immediately translates that to: “Well, you sure fooled them successfully. They should technically not give a single fuck about what you are doing or what you have to say but i guess you made it, congrats. Good luck chasing your dreams.” How is it that i have accumulated and internalized the bullshit of other people -holding it all up as undeniable Truth- to the point where i don’t believe good shit when it is happening as a direct result of my own positive and legitimate output?
