She's one of those characters who values family a lot! She was so proud to call the girls' night group her "true sisters", and look how happy she was to call Robin her brother 🥺

Plus she is so clueless about romance that it's painful(ly funny). She rejects Robin not because she hates him, but because she's not interested in a romantic relationship and merely wants a family bond - and considering how she grew up with an awful sister, I wouldn't blame her

One of the funniest things about the Dog Man fandom is that some people started hating on the later books because they introduced the following: overarching plots (oh my!), complex characters (the horror!), and (gasp!) MORALS

It was foreshadowed a little in book 8. Peril realized that Turtle wanted to come to Possibility to see Kinkajou specifically. At some point his voice breaks while talking about her and sweet crazy Peril yells "are you about to cry?!"

Those scenes were really fast though. I wish they had done more to hint to it, but I guess Turtle is really quiet so we wouldn't have known

This character is also a side character so minor that 99% of the fandom probably doesn't remember they exist. They intersect with the original main plot very infrequently from the perspective of a confused outsider.
