Yeah that's true
China is trying to destabilize and control Hong Kong
That's also true
There are concentration camps in China for Muslims and the USA for illegal immigrants, and LEGAL immigrants too.
This is true aswell.
The Amazon is burning
That's happening in front of us
The ice caps are melting, and at an accelerating speed,we are reaching a tipping point where recovery from climate change is impossible
That's true too
Journalist and human rights activist are being persecuted all over the globe.
Its happening in front of us.
We are running out of fresh water and it's starting to affect countries.
It's happening.
It's all taking place right in front of our eyes.
We aren't blind to the corruption, the rise of hate, the death of our very world. Now with all this, it's easy to take the nihilist route of thinking and say things like "we can't doing about it" or, "it doesn't matter in the end" or most annoyingly "we're all fucked anyways, why should I care?"
That's the type of thinking that lets shit like this go on and spiral into something worse.
There's always another effort to be made, an action,a petition to sign, a vote that counts. Remember that. You might think :you're only one person, so what does it matter? One person cant change the world.
I counter that with: if you can change the world even one bit, why shouldn't you?
Shape the world in the best way you can.
