What is the big deal about borrowing money? I do it all the time! Sometimes, I even pay it back!
Thedore nott
"For one thing, many don't have the money needed for the possibility of not being paid back to be alright," she explains carefully, "And even if they do, why give up one of your best weapons?"
@hufflepuffhotshots
“So, you’re our second cousin?” Leo asked as he crossed his arms. “Why did no one else know about you?
@leothelionmalfoy
She hisses, "If I knew the answer, I'd tell you. But as I was an infant when he died, it is not as if I'd know why the decisions regarding my childhood were made."

I just changed my URL to @thenewlordblack
It's the same blog(I'm not moving) but it fit better with my type of blog
“you have no idea what i’ve been through.”
Polaris reigned in her questions.
That's true, to a point. She didn't know what it was like, to have a loving family taken so close to adulthood or how behind Amelia had to feel, compared to the likes of herself.
There was only so much she could understand, even with her own past.
"Maybe so," she gently told her, "But it can help to talk."
@progenyofprongs
“I won’t judge you.”
Polaris sighed in relief before admitting the truth. No friends knew of her greatest secret. No longer her animagus form, but of something far more sinister.
"I've been studying," she told Amelia, "a bit of a controversial subject."
Raising her wand, pointing it at a plant, she shouted "Avada Kedavra!" and the telltale bolt of green lightning hit its target, immediately causing the formally vibrant green plant to turn black, brittle, and wilted.
@progenyofprongs
more random dialogue prompts ,
“why do you have that look on your face?”
“finish what you’re doing, we have to talk.”
“what have you done to yourself?”
“did you do something different with your hair?”
“it doesn’t do any good to get worked up.”
“when was the last time we had a real conversation.”
“are you in the witness protection program, or what?”
“there’s something wrong with me.”
“no, i don’t hate you.”
“hey stupid.”
“we’re aren’t them.”
“looks like i’ll live long enough to make you pay.”
“you know you’re wrong.”
“i don’t understand, why are you doing this?”
“now, before i say anything, promise me you’ll stay calm.”
“what makes me so special?”
“you have no idea what i’ve been through.”
“you really don’t have to do that, not for me.”
“did you really think you’d get a second chance?”
"how about we don’t do that.”
“i have a lot going for me, but humility is not one of them.”
“you’re the worst.”
“i don’t need you right now.”
“don’t just stand there, looking at me.”
“i thought you were supposed to call me.”
“take my hand.”
“i need you.”
“you’re allowed to need help sometimes.”
“for someone who doesn’t like to feel things, you sure feel a lot of it out loud.”
“when this is all over, i want it to be you and me.”
“why won’t you tell me what happened?”
“you don’t know what this means to me.
“i know it doesn’t make sense.”
“i’m trying really hard to keep it together.”
“i know you’re new, but we do things a little differently here.”
“your voice is putting me to sleep.”
“did you find what you were looking for?”
"you knew and you didn’t even warn me?”
“well, i guess that’s broken.”
“i thought it was part of the act.”
“you think u don’t know you’re only here because they sent you?”
“you promised to call me if you didn’t know what to wear.”
“you can keep a secret, can’t you?”
“how could you do this to me?”
“put the gun down, dearest. i have news!”
“i know you don’t have any reason to trust me, but you need to know something.”
“if you’re here to tell me what happened last night, someone beat you to it.”
“people think i’m weird.”
“i think i’m losing myself again.”
“you can’t be here.”
“i wish you’d come to the funeral.”
“do you know what today is?”
“so, you broke my favourite mug… and you’re breaking up with me?”
“i need to get out.”
“it’s like i’m cursed or something.”
“you are remarkably well-behaved tonight, what have you been up to?”
“you gonna eat that?”
“sir, the pony rides are for children only.”
“i don’t want you to worry about that anymore.”
“we’ll never make it in time.”
“you’d be late for your own funeral.”
“you should have seen it coming.”
“oh, good, you’re here! hold this.”
“why can’t you just be happy for me?”
“on a scale of one to ten, how do you feel about nachos right now?”
“is this how you flirt with everyone?”
“how much longer till we’re there?”
“what have you done?”
“it’s time for you to repay that debt you owe me.”
“where did you get that? who gave it to you?”
“what kind of mother has thoughts like that?”
“i know I haven’t been what you needed, but i’m here, and i wanna help.”
“i never want to hear you say that again.”
“you’re all i have.”
“i know it’s not perfect, but i did follow the recipe this time.”
“i was doing so well until you showed up.”
“don’t eat that! i made it ‘specially for our guest.”
“it’s not that i don’t like my life, it’s that i don’t have the energy to enjoy it.”
“how can you stand this place?”
“don’t take this the wrong way, but you don’t exactly blend in.”
“you need to stop.”
“i don’t like that look, what happened?”
“is that seriously your password?”
“what’s your problem?”
“you had no right to use it without asking.”
“oh, wow, you weren’t kidding.”
“i couldn’t trust my own parents to protect me.”
“i’m surprised you haven’t been arrested yet. wait, no, i’m not.”
“why do you want to help me?”
“ten bucks for that piece of crap?”
“we have to hurry, they’re coming!”
“hey, look what came in the mail!”
“do you want to get a drink or something?”
“please tell me you didn’t eat that.”
“the worst part is you didn’t even notice.”
“if i wanted help, i would have asked.”
“wanna tell me what’s going on with your grades?”
“you need to leave.”
“talk to me, okay? i need to know what’s going on.”
“i do blame you.”
“sometimes life deals you a bad hand, but you can still play your cards right and win.”
“you’re no longer useful to me.”
“i’m not good with sarcasm: if you don’t like me, just say it.”
hey do you have any asks in your inbox? Just checking to make sure if my ask from a little while ago went through
I did answer one just now, if that was yours. If not, then no.
I had planned on answering it last night but I was up until two and had to get up at six. Figured I'd get to it today, with Polaris being prominent as a muse rn and no one else stealing her thunder
glares at a certain other fandom I adore

"Thank you!" the new girl said as she quietly sat down. "Um, I like your hair. It's pretty." She meant the compliment, but she hoped it didn't sound too weird.
"It's quite alright," Polaris told the girl, "Anyone's better than Malfoy, and you seem interesting. And thanks."
It's a bid odd, but she's never quite been fond of normal. Whether that be in herself or her friends
Dark Reign~
@askpolarisblack
They always liked their pomp and ceremonies. Bellatrix Lestrange’s funeral was no different. The crowd had gather at the cathedral in their somber black. Fashionable, of course. The witches looking like small islands with their hats. The wizards in tailor mourning robes. They pair up or in groups of threes.
They crane their necks to seen but more to look for themselves. Making sure. No one can believed it at first.
How small her coffin looks. How small see looks! Her hands laid on her breasts one on top of the other. Even in death her face looks annoyed with them staring. Her hair comb and pin just right.
At Bellatrix’s feet. Standing vigil with one hand on the polish wood is her daughter. She wears a sack black tunic. Its plain and wrinkled, with flats and leggings. It looks slept in. Her hair pulled up in a messy bun that falling out and needs washing.
The spectators give a forced smile. Just as much at a lost of words.
Delphini pale and bags under the eyes looks back. Any kind words would be a lie. They both know that.
They nod and let the next person pay their respects.
Delphi turns to look up at the choir balcony. From the figures of saints and organ pipes The Dark Lord watches on. Just as out of character as the rest. It’s surreal. Unthinkable. Unforgivable.
Voldemort flinched and Delphi returned her gaze forwarded.
They would not be truthful about the reason for Bella’s death. Voldemort concluded. Not when his new regime needed the stability more then ever. He needed the best minds to focus on building forward.
Polaris has shown up to the funeral, a black dress and hooded cloak. She had forgone the hat, preferring the hood of her cloak instead.
While she had no love for Bellatrix, hating her after the death of Sirius, she had to keep up appearances. For her new Order's sake. For Harry, gone but not forgotten.
While enough control and skill not to show her true emotions, internally she was seething. Sirius died because of Bellatrix, yet did not receive a true funeral. Why should his murderess have such an honor when he did not?
She made her way through the crowd until stopping near Bellatrix and Delphi. While a first cousin once removed is not typically considered close family, with so few Blacks left and her position as Lord Black, an exception was made.
"My condolences," she offered, only feeling the slightest sympathy for Delphini, Polaris having lost both parents before she could even form a memory, "Both of you."
Her hand went to Delphini's shoulder, wanting to offer some comfort and a bit of advice.
"I may not have known your mother as well as some here," she told the girl, "but you could talk to my grandmother's portrait, if and when you are ready. She speaks of Bellatrix often."
A small smile crossed her lips before adding, "And if you need to talk, I can listen."
Two of her biggest problems as an orphan were not knowing about her parents and having no one who could truly understand. Delphini will, hopefully, run into neither of those roadblocks.
"Hello, my lord," she greeted finally, having told Delphi what she had wanted to say.
@allegasus
The student approaches the Head of Gryffindor. Despite being a Slytherin, she's made plenty of friends in Gryffindor. As such, McGonagall is probably her second favorite of the Heads of House, despite the rivalry between snakes and lions.
That did not mean, however, she expected to be called to the Transfiguration Professor's office. Unsure of why, she tentatively knocks on the door
"Professor? You wanted to speak with me?" she asked
Minerva flicked her wand at the door so that it swung open for Polaris. She stayed sat at her desk but gestured with her hand that the Slytherin should come in and sit down opposite her.
“Good afternoon, Miss Black,” she said directly, peering at the girl through her glasses. “I did want to speak to you, yes,” she confirmed.
“I’ve been marking your class’ exams, today,” she continued briskly. “And you’ve done well, Miss Black. Very well. I wanted to congratulate you.”
Minerva looked at the girl, her head slightly tilted. When she spoke again, her voice was more gentle. “Are you managing?” she asked, still direct but more kindly. “I understand that there is a lot of pressure on all our students at the moment, and since Professor Snape-” She broke off, shaking her head. “I wanted to check, that everything is alright. You don’t seem quite yourself, recently.”
Polaris sighed in relief when all she was told was that she did well in Transfiguration. She had figured it had been about more pressing matters.
Unfortunately, a few moments later she was proven correct. This was more than just a congratulations. Internal walls, so used to protecting herself, went up.
"I'm well, Professor," she lied, hoping not to be caught. When she got back to the Slytherin Common Room, she'd mull over all her actions.
What could have hinted she was not as fine as she acted? Was it how many late nights she spent pouring over books in the library? But that isn't entirely new for her. She's spent many a night at Hogwarts in the library, either from curiosity or necessity. And as the McGonagall mentioned, there were exams.
So if that wasn't it, what was?
"What makes you say that, Professor," she asked, curious and wanting to avoid doing whatever it was in the future.
B. I dare you to turn your music on shuffle and dance to the FIRST song that plays. Doesn't matter what
Polaris blushed at this dare, but reluctantly did as she was asked.
The song "Fire and Ice"(Acoustic Version) by Sleeping Romance turned on, and she reluctantly began to dance as if she had partner.
H!
Polaris had to think on that.
Who does she truly admire the most?
In the end, she knows what the answer is.
She begins to practice the Dark Arts, casting spell after spell until she is satisfied.

Character Truth or Dare Ask Meme
Alright, here it is: OC truth or dare!!! I've done this before, but I actually think I outdid myself on the dares this time xD there's a bit more variety. :) anyway! So the rules are: if you get truthed, you answer as if your character is answering a truth question in a truth or dare game. If you get a dare, you write a short snippet/one shot of the character fulfilling the dare.
Your followers will send you either a number if it's a truth question or a letter if a dare. They get to pick the character if they want but if they don't include a character, then you get to pick! :) If you ONLY want truths or ONLY want dares, include that in your reblog so that your followers know to only send one or the other.
So! Without further ado...
Part I: Truth
Who was the last person you kissed?
Have you ever cheated on someone you were with?
Did you ever cheat on a test when you were younger? Did you get caught?
Have you ever stolen anything before? Did you get caught?
Are you afraid of the dark? What are some of your other fears?
What is something embarrassing that you'd never confess if you were asked outright outside of truth or dare?
Have you ever had sexual dreams about someone you'd never want to admit to having naughty dreams about?
What is something embarrassing that you want to collect but don't because you don't want anyone to find the collection?
What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
What is your weirdest interest?
Tell us one of your unpopular beliefs?
Tell us something you hate about your best friend?
Tell us something you admire about your biggest rival/enemy. NO INSULTS YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM A COMPLIMENT.
Who was your first crush and why did you have a crush on them?
When was the last time you did something ridiculous/stupid and what did you do? What made you think it was a good idea to do it?
Part II: Dare
A. I dare you to kiss the person to your right. If there is no one in the room with you, I dare you to leave the house and kiss the first person you see (if they're a stranger, a hug may also be administered).
B. I dare you to turn your music on shuffle and dance to the FIRST song that plays. Doesn't matter what the song is.
C. Look up. The first thing you look at, I dare you to make a crafted item of.
D. Put your music on shuffle. Play ONE song. Now whatever song plays, I dare you to go outside and the first person you see, serenade them with your favorite line of that song.
E. I dare you to go to the mall and follow someone while narrating their actions as if you're a narrator of a story about them.
F. I dare you to make a song about everything you admire about someone you claim to hate.
G. I dare you to cook someone you dislike your favorite meal and treat them to a romantic dinner.
H. I dare you to act like the person you secretly admire the most and everyone in the room has to guess who it is.
I. Google "animals staring with" and the first letter of your name, then act as the first animal that pops up for 30 seconds.
J. I dare you to prank someone that would never expect you to prank them.
K. I dare you to act like one of your parents for 30 seconds.
L. I dare you to call your crush (or best friend if you don't have a crush) and the ENTIRE phone call until you two hang up, you have to recite words to songs you know. No original speech, just lyrics!
M. I dare you to do the cinnamon challenge, only instead of cinnamon, use cayenne.
N. I dare you to challenge a complete stranger to a dance off for no reason.
O. I dare you to start a debate over something you know nothing about with a stranger and see if you can fool them into thinking you know what you're talking about.
