does someone know if knights still wore a full armor when fighting during summer, because surely it would be unbearable with the heat ?
Well yes, most wars/battles/campaigns were fought during summer, so they would have been fully geared up in whatever armour was relevant for their historical period. Besides, you would absolutely choose to suffer under a bit of heat, if it means you're less likely to die from a peasant with a cheap spear. How much armour you wear (assuming you could afford to be fully kitted in the first place), would normally come more down to how much time you had to get it all on, or if your particular situation demanded less amour for whatever reason. Partial first hand source: me. At the last three years of #krigslive I've been running around in, not full but, "half plate" (I believe the best term for it is) during early summer, given though thats LARP grade clothes and armour. And trust me, it doesn't really matter what time of year, it's always hot.
