IF I HAD A LITTLE MONEY

That’s right! Ever wanted the opportunity to act in a podcast? Well this could be your chance! We’re searching for a number of actors to play a variety of roles within our upcoming podcast, “HG Wells Has His Regrets”. 

“So what’s this podcast about” I hear you cry? To give you a clue, here’s a brief synopsis:

HG Wells is famously known for being a pioneer of science fiction. One of his most famous works was his book “The Time Machine”. What people didn’t know was he didn’t merely just invent science fiction. He really did invent. And what did he invent? The time machine, of course! But what did he use such a thing for? To try and prevent war? To see if dinosaurs existed? To discover if the very futures he wrote about truly occurred? No. For that would be meddling too greatly with time. Instead, he decided to meet people who he could have real conversation with: authors from other time periods. We know this as he kept extensive audio logs during this time, and within these audio logs contains his thoughts, misadventures, conversations and as we later find out, his many, many regrets. Meant to be a comedy, this audio drama will make you laugh… until suddenly you’re on the floor crying over dead authors!

The podcast will almost entirely be in the form of audio logs with some being the interviews/conversations he has with the authors he visits, whilst in others he documents his thoughts and general conversations with others.

“I’m interested in auditioning!”

Well, at least I hope that’s what you’re thinking. If you are, then you’re probably also wondering what the requirements are. To audition, we would like to request:

- You have a microphone of good quality. Unfortunately, your built in laptop mic won’t cut it. - You can handle deadlines. Of course, if there were any major circumstances regarding why you can’t record lines in time, that’s another matter. - You’re committed. This is a (hopefully) long term project. - You’re passionate and you have fun! This podcast is a passion project, and so everyone involved should feel passionate too. If you’re cast I’ll send you lots of resources/information/research on your role and ensure you’re involved as possible.

So if you think you can handle these requirements then we’re all good to go!
