People are selfish and hypocritical. I say this cause I’m selfish and hypocritical. I tend to never acknowledge things until I’m affected by them, although I’d like to think otherwise. And what I’ve realised recently is that we owe people things. Yes, it’s important to put yourself first sometimes. But you also owe something to the people you care about, and to the people who care about you. You owe them an apology, a thankyou, an explanation, consideration. Because you don’t know how someone else may feel in a situation that seems trivial to you until you’re facing something similar. It doesn’t make you better than other people, not to care.
