With Joker bringing an iconic grin back to theaters, Playboy magazine considers why the diabolical hedonist continues to captivate us. I was invited by Playboy to create an exclusive artwork for an article that analyzes the origins of the character, featuring interviews with Joaquin Phoenix, Todd Phillips, Jim Lee and David Goyer.

A dystopian near future filled with raging natural disasters, deplenished resources, defunct nations, and two superpowers on the brink of global war. What unfortunate series of events led us to this !

This personal project is an introduction to this world: to create a mini futuristic short film that acquaints us with 2040, to provide context for our arrival here, and to leave one eager for immersion into the story. This is the path we are on.
