Hey there! My name is Sam and I'm a candle maker with my own shop called The Merry Wick! I create scents inspired by music and stories whether they be from movies, shows, or books. I get pretty deeply attached to my favorite things and always want to experience them to the fullest extent, hence turning those favorite things into scents! Like 99% of Small Businesses right now, I am super frustrated and discouraged by standard social media, and as a person I am so incredibly exhausted by it. Every day I think about just deleting Instagram ( I already deleted TikTok ) but if I want to have a small business it doesn't feel like it's an option.
I know the middle ground is just to fix my relationship with social media, but since my business is small, I work alone from home and it is the closest thing I have to every day socialization as well. I'm trying to find a space that works for me, where I feel connected and can share the things I create, but not feel like i'm drowning. I'm not sure if that space exists, but heres to trying! β€οΈ
