Halfway into the seventies and still feelin' healthy and wonderful as he'll ever be! Cheers to another amazing year ahead, and remember to keep swimming.

This pic is from what appears to be one of those "Folk-like Concerts" that Masayuki held during his high school days in Nishio, Aichi Prefecture, specifically in 1972.

Unlike Masayuki's concerts from 1983 onwards, the folk-like concerts had him cover kayokyoku songs as part of the setlist.

Max is Masayuki's little hand puppet fella who had appeared in his concerts from the 90s and the 2000s. I dunno what animal is he supposed to be based on....could Max be a fox? A dog? Looks like a dog to me.

There was an exhibition dedicated to the late photographer and radio announcer Hiroshi Mizutani between January 29 and February 2 in Yamaguchi. Masayuki Yamamoto was given a special thanks credit.

When Mizutani passed away three years ago, in February 2023, there were a lot of captures kept hidden from his devices, but were luckily retrieved from about 1400 images and more unreleased content. Yamamoto also helped with the archival photo collection to pick the most distinctive choices, in the form of postcards that were arranged on display.

The tagline of Here we are, the universe we've always dreamed of encapsulates the album title and somehow most of the tracklist. Might wanna listen to this in its entirety again today, plus it has one of my personal favorite songs of his: Sora no Tantei.

 Heya. It's only been 4 days into 2026, but since there's little stuff in Masayuki sensei's discography going on throughout 2025, there will be no recap post for THE Masayuki Paradise. Disappointing, yes. It's not like I had to do annual recaps of anything Masayuki releases when the further we've gone by, the lesser we'll see much of what he might release.

All we'd got in 2025 was yet another Moeyo Dragons! edition. No SOLO Hiki, no original album, still no live concerts, Masayuki Zensen is no more, that's it. I feel disappointed, but not very deeply disappointed. I know he's in his mid-seventies, but I shouldn't feel bad that his discography is slowing down. I can sense he wants to spend more quality time. And I know I might've said this a couple of times.

Luckily, I still tend to keep the reputation alive every now and then since I have a bigger "job" as an artist. Oh yeah, I still have college.

I've known this fact before, but when Nanako SOS aired in 1983, replacing Little Pollon's Saturday 6PM timeslot, Ichiro Nitta composed the score, but as a first-timer, he needed assistance as he had trouble composing pieces for certain scenes, so halfway through the series, Masayuki Yamamoto joined in.

Northern Hemisphere people sure are getting autumn vibes as the leaves start to wilt.

While the concert has been recorded in its entirety, it's only done on a cassette, which is why this, alongside the other three early concerts of Yamamoto's in the mid-80s, have been recorded in audio form, with his hand drawn posters the only still visual when he was editing for Sainou no Kiseki.

Taken from page 58 of the manual from Time Bokan Korekki Buta Box. This box set contains remastered drama and compilation albums of the classic era of the Time Bokan series.

In this one page section, Masayuki wrote a brief retrospective on his roles in some of its shows. It's nice to see how a rocky start can suddenly become a cherished and enjoyable job.

Plus, Gekigauski is his hardest voice role confirmed.

Already in his mid seventies and still going strong despite not announcing a lot of upcoming works unlike from the pre-pandemic days... I'll still cherish him no matter what, even if one day he'll no longer be with us.
