i think ive said this before but i believe even more strongly now that we're never going to make progress on securing the right for trans minors to access gender affirming care if we don't consciously approach it intersectionally. we are not just fighting for trans rights we are fighting for youth liberation. like mlk said, injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. as long as there is a category of person we decide it's ok to deprive of fundamental rights like bodily autonomy and self determination, any repressive movement that wants to take away your rights will seek to define you as that group against any logic or morals. hence why you have trans adults as old as 25 being treated legally like children.
