your whole life you’ve been different. growing up, you never played with other kids, you didn’t enjoy conversations with other sims and your fondest memories were of when you were alone. you’ve always felt out of place. now that you are a young adult and on your own you can make your own decisions . . . you never have to talk to anyone, ever. no more awkward conversations with family members you see every 6 years. no more listening to your aunt go on and on about her glamorous life with her new rich husband back in del sol valley. no more sleepovers where you talk to your blarffy more than your friends.
DON’T TALK TO ANYONE (except your pen pals, the only people who have ever understood you)
you can pick your sims personality, but the only trait required is the loner trait
the life span must be set to normal
you have to start with the starting funds of your household
you can only become a freelancer but no other careers so you may have to find alternative ways to make money
you must have pen pals and complete the post card collection
you can adopt or create a pet for your sim, but you cannot interact with the pet dealer
you can adopt a child but they have to have the loner trait, as soon as they are able to, and they must follow the same rules as your sim
you have to master four skills of your choice but you CAN’T master the charisma or mischief skills
you have to complete the renaissance sim aspiration and another aspiration of your choice (just remember some aspirations you may not be able to complete due to its requirements and the restrictions of this challenge)
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN THE WELCOME WAGON COMES?
  remember this is the loner sims challenge so your sim will not enjoy social interactions with other sims. so for your sims sake, end it immediately and do not, DO NOT talk to them.
ARE YOU ALLOWED TO GO TO PUBLIC LOTS?
  you can go to any lot you want but you still cannot interact with anyone so some lots may be pointless. for example, stores and restaurants.Â
IS TALKING TO SIMS OVER THE PHONE/COMPUTER OKAY?
  no, your sim would still be interacting with another. so other than your pen pal you cannot talk to anyone over computer or phone.
CAN YOU TALK TO YOUR CHILD?
  yes, you should talk to your child to take care of it. although both of you will be loners so it only makes sense that you do not interact much.
DO INTERACTIONSÂ THROUGH WORK/SCHOOL COUNT?
  interactions through work/school are fine as long as you do not gain a relationship by doing so.
IF I ADOPT A PET, HOW CAN I NOT TALK TO THE PET DEALER TO END THE ADOPTION?
  if you wait it out the adoption session will end and the pet dealer will go away, just be VERY careful not to talk to them because they may talk to you. if it does not go away, traveling to another lot will get rid of it. Â
