Resembling a sign in a public place, this work calls out to the viewer through its suspicious, ambivalent message. “You will never die” is an absurd and derisive declaration, both true and dishonest at the same time. It also evokes the constant aspects of the artist’s exploration of the paradox of images, the ambiguity of life and death, survival and disappearance.
